In 1968 faigle started to develop the irst escalator roller made of thermoplastic polyurethane. since then, faigle has continued to successfully develop and reine its plastic rollers. today, faigle supplies many millions of rollers every year for escalators, sorting plants and conveying systems to renowned manufacturers like schindler, Kone, otis, Beumer, TGW and many more.

Pas®-PU 90a-H
thermoplastic polyurethane with a hardness of 90 shore a. our
standard material for roller binding. alternatively also available in
hardnesses of 85 shore a to 64 shore D.
Pas®-80 GF 30
our standard polyamide-based material for roller bodies. 30% re-
inforced with glass ibres for optimum strength, impact resistance
and creep strength. reliable bonding to the polyurethane binding
can be achieved.
Pas®-lXy
Pom-based slide bearing material developed by faigle. With
incorporated dry lubricants for maintenance-free and smooth
running. excellent as a replacement for ball bearings in rollers.
Pas®-80 moD.
Friction-modiied polyamide 6.6 for sl rollers. low-maintenance,
smooth running on metal axles.
ProPerties oF Pas®-PU 90a-H
aBrasioN resistaNce
Pas®-PU 90a-H offers abrasion resistance which is
several times higher than rubber. this makes Pas®-
PU 90a-H the perfect material for rollers in harsh
continuous applications.
tear ProPaGatioN resistaNce
the high tear propagation resistance of Pas®-PU 90a-H
prevents any damage to the tyre, for example as a result of
sharp edges or chips, developing into larger cracks or tears.
DamPiNG BeHaVioUr aND resilieNce
Pas®-PU 90a-H is very highly capable of absorbing
impacts and dynamic loads and can thus dampen noise
and vibrations. its good resilience prevents permanent
deformation or lattening of faigle rollers.
HyDrolysis
conventional polyurethane can be badly damaged by water
penetration. For many years all faigle rollers have been
manufactured exclusively from the hydrolysis-resistant
material Pas®-PU 90a-H.
