PeLLeTSfaigle tribopolymers are wear-resistant, have low coefficients of friction, can run dry and offer long-term reliability.

TrIBoLogY - our Core ComPeTenCeone of the most important specialist areas of faigle is the research carried out into the sliding behaviour of technical plastics. Tribol-ogy is the science of the mutual interplay between the mechani-cal, chemical and energy interactions between interacting surfaces which are in relative motion. with many of the company's plastics, faigle is still delivering pioneering work today. The large number of materials also opens up a wide range of different potential ap-plications.

TrIBoComPoundS – our mATerIALS for more than 50 years, faigle has been producing and processing tribopolymer pellets particularly on the basis of polyamide or polyacetal. our particular field of expertise is so-called incorporated solid lubricants, which guarantee the reliability and durability of faigle compounds.

fInISHed PArTSfinished plastic parts from faigle are always developed to meet quite specific customer requirements and application requirements. They are ready for immediate use, without any further processing. The diversity comes about as a direct result of the diversity of solu-tions which have already been developed for customers.

SemIfInISHed ProduCTS And ProfILeSAnybody who processes semi-finished products needs fast and reli-able suppliers. At faigle, we always keep a ready supply of sem-ifinished products in a range of different shapes and sizes: plates, tubes, flat bars and round rods. with the faigle 1st cut® service we can also offer to take the strain off our customers' production de-partments, and in doing so help rationalise the processes involved. dIverSITY of mATerIALSone of the things which is a real advantage for our customers is the fact that we keep high stock levels of all standard polymers and high performance polymers available. our aim is to have a demand-ori-ented setup and ensure that our customers' requirements are met in terms of materials, colours, dimensions and cross-sections. our logistics team will deliver stock articles within a 24h turnaround time.

TeCHnoLogY And reLIABILITY

InjeCTIon mouLdIngIn the field of injection moulding, established technologies are being continuously refined, and new ones are being constantly added. Processing options are steadily opti-mised through our own in-house developments.

exTruSIonPioneering work is also being done by faigle in the field of extrusion, which is now establishing itself as a modern and highly-developed area of production for the manufactur-ing of technical/functional profiles, calendered films, com-pounds and semifinished products.

ComPoSITeSPrecision composite pressing (PCP) and pultrusion are techniques which have been developed by faigle for the automated completion of challenging fibre composite components – 'net shaped' (and therefore with no need for any subsequent processing) and in consistently high quality.

mACHInIngwith the aid of CnC -controlled lathes and milling ma-chines, we can machine plastic parts to suit the exact requirements of our customers. ASSemBLYThe assembly department at faigle helps our customers to assemble components from injection-moulded parts through a combination of snap-fitting, welding and screw-ing. The result: components with maximum rigidity and strength but extremely low weight.

InjeCTIon mouLdIngAt faigle, we are constantly exploring new potential applications - both for low-volume production runs and for highest production numbers.

exTruSIonfaigle was one of the first companies to use the technique of extrusion in the processing of plastics.

HIgHeST QuALITY STAndArdSIn order to ensure that we offer the highest quality standards, all of the sites in the faigle group have been accredited according to the ISo dIn/en 9001 standard as part of a group certification process. In addition, quality assurance at faigle also encompasses thermal, mechanical, physical, light microscopy, geometric and application-specific tests in our own laboratories and on specially designed test benches.

CAd/CAm And rAPId ProToTYPIngState-of-the-art CAd and CAm systems are used to ensure a high-speed and efficient exchange of information with customers and data transfer. Latest calculation tools like fem and moldflow are available for optimising moulded parts. with the aid of a range of rapid prototyping methods we can perform necessary tests and evaluation techniques on behalf of our customers even before the start of series production.
