HIKINGext 5057 | Beginning Oct 30 trails will only be open on Sundays due to hunting season | Massanutten’s Western Slope off ers more than thirty miles of trails for hikers of varying skill levels! Trail maps are available at the Rental Shop and the Front Desk at Woodstone.

Ridge TrailDifficult, Blue Blazes | 4.5 miles ( one way ) | Beginning at the wooden steps above the Overlook, this scenic trail winds along Massanutten’s rough and rocky ridge and joins the access road near the ski slopes. Th e trail ends with a magnifi cent panorama before making a steep descent down the slopes. Transportation back to the Overlook is necessary for those hiking the entire trail.

Kaylor’s Knob TrailModerate, Blue Blazes | 3 miles ( out & back ) | Th e northern counterpart to the Ridge Trail is also rough and rocky. Kaylor’s Knob marks the turn-around point for this breathtaking out-and-back trail. Access to this trail is available from the Overlook parking area.

Rockingham Springs ArboretumEasy | Th e Arboretum Trail in Hopkins Park is an easy walk with quiet places to sit and relax. Stroll through the woods and enjoy a variety of beautiful trees and plant life!
