CUSTOMER SERVICE STANDARDS “10”CAMPUS RECREATION STAFF CUSTOMER SERVICE STANDARDS “10” 1. Deliver quality service without discriminating on the basis

of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability, political beliefs, and marital or family status.

2. Act respectfully and professionally at all times. 3. Answer each phone call in the appropriate manner within

two rings. 4. Handle patron concerns in an expedient and

thorough fashion. 5. Provide patrons with complete, accurate information

about our programs and services. 6. Take the necessary time to treat patrons as individuals in

order to better address their wants, needs and concerns. 7. Provide explanations and referrals in all instances when

we cannot meet a patron’s request. 8. Be courteous and empathetic to all patrons. 9. Utilize feedback from patrons on a regular basis to

improve services and practices. 10. Maintain facilities, space and equipment with diligent

care in regard to safety, security, attractiveness, accessibility and cleanliness.

Employees with recreation access through payroll deduction must cancel their payroll deduction payments if they are taking a class and thus paying the inclusive university fee. Reimbursement for duplicate or overlap payments will not be processed, as the tuition remission for classes is an employee benefit. It is beneficial for the employee to coordinate this cancellation, as a three-credit course assesses $14 to the rec fee for the typical semester. It is incumbent upon the employee to manage the timing for the process.
