An asterisk indicates alternate year course offerings. Any course
marked by an asterisk is offered in alternate years and will not be
offered again until Fall Semester, 2019. ADVISING
The advising period for Fall and Summer terms will open on March
20. You must make an appointment with your academic advisor early
in the advising period to finalize your schedule of classes.
Before your appointment, review requirements for the core curriculum
and your major or interest areas. Print a degree audit from the portal
to check your progress toward completing your degree. Prepare a
proposed schedule to discuss and confirm with your advisor. Be
certain to review catalog listings for information about prerequisite
courses, alternate year course offerings, and complete course titles
and descriptions at https://www.huntington.edu/academics/academic-
catalog If you do not know the name of your faculty advisor, check
your information on the portal or contact the Registrar’s Office. REGISTRATION
After your advisor has approved your schedule and your registration
time has opened, you may register for classes on the portal at any
time or bring your registration to the Registrar’s Office in Becker Hall
between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday to have the
registration staff enter your courses. Refer to the Registration
Instructions posted on the portal for additional information.
Overloads of 18 or more hours are permitted only by petition.
Students must submit a petition for overload before they may register
for more than 17.5 hours. Students are charged overload tuition for
each .5 hours above 17 registered hours.
Independent studies, internships, directed studies, tutorials and job shadowing experiences as well as practicums that are not on
the class schedule require special forms. It is not possible to
register for these types of experiences until the appropriate form has
been completed and turned in to the Registrar’s Office.
Students who plan to graduate in 2018 must apply for graduation
no later than April 21, 2017. Students should declare their intent to
graduate and submit an approved plan of study at least two
semesters before they intend to complete. Instructions can be found
at
https://my.huntington.edu/ICS/Students/Academic__Registration_Info
rmation/Graduation.jnz
Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading can be elected for a course by
completing a form available at the Registrar’s Office or by completing
the form on the portal. Courses in the core curriculum or those
counted in the major may not be taken S/U. Information about S/U
grading is found in the academic catalog on the Academic
Information/ Academic Policies/ Grading Policy tab at
https://www.huntington.edu/academics/academic-
catalog/undergraduate-catalog/ .
