COLEBROOKDALE RAILROAD FALL FOLIAGE TOUR
Sunday, October 27$110 member; $115 general
Depart 9:00am; Return 4:30pmRegistration Deadline: September 27
We will board a meticulously restored century-old rail car for a two-hour
expedition into the Secret Valley between Boyertown & Pottstown, one of the most
scenic and historic regions in the northeast. The Colebrookdale is a core corridor within the only region in the United States where visitors can explore iron industry vestiges
from its 18th century infancy, observe 19th century technological innovations
and industrial expansion, and learn about 20th century international steel markets. Unspoiled by time, the Colebrookdale’s
Secret Valley looks much the same today as it would to the iron-willed pioneers who first ventured along its cold, rushing creeks
three centuries ago.
Afterward, we will enjoy an included full course lunch at Boyertown’s Union
Jack’s Inn on the Manatawny. Restroom equipped, coach bus transportation.
HADESTOWNIN NYC
Sunday, November 10$265 member; $275 general
Depart 9:30am; Return 7:00pmRegistration Deadline: September 27
This 2019 Tony award-winning new musical, including
Best Musical, by celebrated singer-songwriter Anaïs
Mitchell and innovative director Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) is a love story for
today… and always.
Hadestown intertwines two mythic tales—that of young dreamers Orpheus and
Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone—as it invites you on a
hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Mitchell’s beguiling melodies and
Chavkin’s poetic imagination pit industry against nature, doubt against faith, and
fear against love. Performed by a vibrant ensemble of actors, dancers and singers,
Hadestown is a haunting and hopeful theatrical experience that grabs you and
never let’s go.
Orchestra seats at Broadway’s Walter Kerr Theater. Restroom equipped, coach bus
transportation. Lunch on your own.

NOTORIOUS RBG EXHIBIT
Friday, December 13$50 member; $55 general
Depart 9:30am; Return 3:30pmRegistration Deadline: November 1
The National Museum of American
Jewish History on Independence Mall will be the first east coast stop for a new
exhibition about Justice Ginsburg. Tracing a career that traveled
from trailblazer to pop-culture icon (RBG bobble head, anyone?), the upcoming special exhibition Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg is the first museum retrospective about the
extraordinary life of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg. Originated by the Skirball
Cultural Center in Los Angeles, and based on the New York Times best-selling book of the
same name, the visually rich and entertaining exhibition explores RBG’s legacy—including her days as a student, her pioneering work
as a lawyer and advocate for women’s rights, and her precedent-setting role as the second
woman—and the first Jewish woman—to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court.
Price includes museum admission, docent-led tour, and restroom-equipped coach bus transportation. Lunch on your own at the
newly-revived Bourse Food Hall..
