Gifts for the Lord In Matt. 2:11 the Bible talks about the wise men, but it wasn’t on December 25th. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, frankincense and myrrh. Stop and look back through 2012, what gifts have you brought to the Lord? You give to those you love, your spouse, your children, your parents and you are supposed to love me, your brother or sister in the church! We want our family and friends to know we love them so we tell them often, and we show them by spending and giving gifts. Have you opened your treasures and given any gifts to the Lord? A man receives nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven (Jn. 3:27). Every good and perfect gift is from above (Js. 1-17). It is in Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28). WHAT GIFTS HAVE YOU GIVEN THE LORD? God doesn’t accept lip service (Matt. 15:8). God wants your gift to be what Rom. 12:1 says, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. God wants your gift to be like Matt. 15:5, bearing fruit, teaching others (2Tim. 2:2). Wise men brought gold, frankincense and myrrh; what gift do you bring? If you need help, asks somebody (Matt.16:26)!

Keith’s Kitchen…
Keith’s Kitchen is an op-
portunity to support our
work in Honduras. Each
Wednesday at 6:15PM
Keith prepares a deli-
cious meal. The teens help with the
dessert, drinks and clean-up. All
proceeds go to the accounts of stu-
dents who help. There is no set fee
but your generous checks should be
made to Tampa Youth Missions.
Dessert this week: T. Boyer, Jarmon,
Johnson.
Thank You…
Thank you to everyone who came
out to support our little group of
actors last Saturday night. They
brought a beautiful message, some
singing that brought goose bumps
and big smiles, comedic talent, and
talented acting to the stage. Thank
you to the MANY people who also
helped Cathy & Richard Baldock,
Pam & Don Williams, Alice Price &
Monica Greaves behind the scenes!
It was a delightful program! Check
out our Northwest Tampa Facebook
page for lots of pictures.
Change for Children Campaign…
We will be wrapping up the Change
for Children Campaign in January so
you have only one more month to
fill your cans. The deadline for turn-
ing them in is Sunday, January 20.
Lisa Snelling will be collecting them
or you can drop them off in the
church office #1. So just keep them
until that time. If your can is full and
you would like to start another one,
we have extras in the cabinet in the
lobby or see Lisa or Shirley. Lisa will
be turning them in to Mt. Dora Chil-
dren’s Home after January 20, 2013.
