Weather Policy
We believe it is in the best in-terest of everyone for us to have a policy that when snow and ice make travel in Knox-ville hazardous, we will cancel both Sunday morning services and the evening service. In-stead, we will have one service at 3 p.m.
Travel decisions should be made by each family and whether a few people or a few hundred people are able to come we will worship togeth-er then.
Please check the Laurel Web-site, the Laurel Facebook or Laurel Twitter account for cancellations.

New Baby...Sarah and Marcus
Cathey welcomed baby James Octavius December 29. He was 7 lb 1oz and 20.5 inches. He is little brother to Aurelia, Simon, and Mir-iam.
Baptism… Darlene Smith, Leslie Tumblin’s daughter, was baptized Sunday, December 18, 2016.
In Sympathy… Jim Durnin, Joe Durnin’s father, passed away on Wednesday, December 28 in Kingsport, TN. Joe’s address is: 7726 Collier Rd., Powell, TN 37849.
Remember in prayer… Scott Brewer in Jacksonville, NC who is a member of Roosevelt Drive Church of Christ is undergo-ing treatment for leukemia and is scheduled to have a stem cell transplant. Tim Davidson of Rivergate Church of Christ in Madison, TN has re-cently been diagnosed with pan-creatic cancer and is scheduled to have surgery.

Wallace Mobile Clinic
The next Mobile Clinic will be 10 am-2pm on Saturday, February 18th in the gym of the Laurel Building. Volunteers need to report to the clinic at 8:30 am.

Thanks to ALL of you for your support of our Operation Christmas Child effort. We were able to send 70 shoe-boxes to countries around the world! Some of our boxes have been tracked to Ecuador, Cameroon, Honduras, Gabon, Botswana, and “a hard to reach area.”

Disaster Relief for Fires in Sevier County
Thanks to the volunteers from Laurel who traveled to Pigeon Forge Mon-day, Dec. 19, to work with the Disaster Relief efforts. Your help was appreci-ated very much!
