A. Create Parts/Items TOP

1. What are the pre-checks to be done?

Answer: The below pre- checks are to be done:

i. Before creating part in SU System make sure that New Part ID is unique.

ii. Also you must have values for all mandatory fields.

iii. All bold texts on the part creation screen are mandatory.

2. What are the steps to Create Parts?

Answer: The below steps should be followed for Part creation in PBC Tool.

PBC Tool (Part-Bin-Creation Tool) is used by many SU Customers.

Example: example is shown for customer RIO_GLOBAL in MO Environment.

i. Go To PBC Tool -> Home Page -> Click on “Create”.

ii. Load customer as “RIO_GLOBAL” and click on “Create”.

iii. Fill up all necessary information under “User Parameters” & “Detail Parameters”.

All Bold Fields are mandatory.

iv. Fill up all necessary information under “User Parameters” & “Detail Parameters”.

All Bold Fields are mandatory.

Clicking on “Create” will create a part in SU System for RIO_GLOBAL Customer.

v. Part is successfully created.

3. What are the frequently raised issues with AMS? TOP

Answer: Below are the frequently raised issues with AMS:

I. There are frequent tickets for PART/ITEM creation in SU.

II. User/caller can follow the above part creation steps and create part by their own.

Point to remember:

User needs to be very careful about fields and values for part creation as they can’t modify or

delete parts once created through PBC Tool and user needs to reach out to AMS via GSN

incidents as usual for any modification later on.

4. What are the pre-checks to be done?

Answer: The below pre- checks are to be done:

i. For searching parts user must know the customer (example part number: RIO_GLOBAL).

ii. For searching parts user must know the part no (example part number: RIO_BIJAY).

5. What are the steps to Search Parts?

Answer: The below steps should be followed for Part searching in PBC Tool.

i. Go To PBC Tool-> Click on search

ii. Once clicked on search the below screen will appear.

Load customer as “RIO_GLOBAL” and provide the Part Number as “RIO_BIJAY” along

with the operator like ‘=’ or ‘contains’ or ‘starts with’ as per your convenient.

And click on “OK”.

iii. Part id will appear as a single record at first-> clicking on Part Number with give you all

the values as shown below.

6. What are the frequently raised issues with AMS?

Answer: Below are the frequently raised issues with AMS:

I. User frequently asks Item master file (which we fetch from database and provide) for

particular customer to see what all attribute is present for particular part.

II. This can be avoided if user can search parts through PBC Tool.

7. What are the pre-checks to be done?

i. Before creating Bins in SU System make sure that New Bin is unique. Back

ii. Also you must have values for all mandatory fields.

iii. All bold texts on the Bins creation screen are mandatory.

8. What are the steps to Create Bins?

Answer: The below steps should be followed for Bin creation in PBC Tool.

i. Go To PBC Tool -> Home Page -> Click on “Create”.

ii. The below screen will appear.

Load Customer

Load Warehouse

Load Zone (screen will automatically move to another screen)

iii. Once customer, warehouse & zone provided then below parameters need to get filled.

Bolt text field is mandatory (example: Location name is mandatory here).

Fill up the Location name as “RIO_BIJAY” and click on “Create” will create a Bin/Location in

SU System.

9. What are the frequently raised issues with AMS?

Answer: Below are the frequently raised issues with AMS:

I. There are frequent tickets for Bin/Location creation in SU.

II. User/caller can follow the above Bin creation steps and create bins by their own.

Point to remember:

User needs to be very careful about fields and values for Bins creation as they can’t

modify or delete bins once created through PBC Tool and user needs to reach out to

AMS via GSN incidents as usual for any modification later on.

Also do not use the below zones while creation of Locations/Bins. These zones are

meant for warehouse internal operations:

RECEIVE, VIRTUAL, PACK, INSPECTION, HELD, INTRANSIT, HOTZONE and STAGE.

10. What are the pre-checks to be done?

Answer: The below pre- checks are to be done:

i. For searching Bins user must know the customer (example part number: RIO_GLOBAL).

ii. For searching Bins user must know the warehouse(example warehouse: RGWHS15)

iii. For searching Bins user must know the zone (example zone: RIO_GOOD).

11. What are the steps to Search Bins?

Answer: The below steps to be done to search Bins in PBC Tool:

i. Go To PBC Tool-> Click on search

ii. The below screen will appear.

Load Customer

Load Warehouse

Load Zone and click on “OK”.

iii. After click on OK, the list of location will appear. There user can check for

desired location’s details.

User can populate more number of records by selecting the record per page

drop down option present below in the same screen.

iv. By clicking on RIO_GOOD link beside location name, users can check for all

property of Bin location.
