Eu Regulation 178/2002 – Art. 5 to 9 Measures for protecting human health, which not apply for primary production but are necessary for risk assessment. In accordance with Reg.(ES) 178/2002 – Slovenia must implement system of risk assessment in food and feed chain EU Directive 90/425/EGSArt. 3.:Trade is allowed only from farms and markets which are under permanent veterinary control

Art.5:Food law shall pursue one or more of the general objectives of a high level of protection of human life and health and the protection of consumers' interests, including fair practices in food trade, taking account of, where appropriate, the protection of animal health and welfare, plant health and the environment.

Veterinary Compliance Criteria Act – 1st January 2006Art. 6: Government must assure that animals and food products of animal origin are from holdings which are under regular veterinary checks.
On base of this Law regulation Rules on the Regular Official Veterinary Checks at Holdings – applied on 4th March 2006

We start to talk about after discussion on spring GA UEVP and discussion with Danish veterinary ass.For assurance of food quality, implementation of animal welfare rules, strict implementation of identification and registration of food animals
The veterinary profession should pro-actively promote herd health control and public health
Our task is in promoting the image and role ofveterinarians as competent in the field of veterinary public health and the environment andto make clear to the public that the profession’s competences are not limited to the treatmentof sick animals
and we also sick to assure future money income for private veterinarians
