QBF & Rehearsal June RIAT July Farnborough July America’s Cup July 78 RAFAT displays 3 Events at Northampton/Sywell

Non SSR Gliding Areas (NSGA)
Designated areas for NSGA FL 100 - FL 195 CAA has reviewed applicability of exception to carriage of SSR
transponder with BGA, NATS and MoD including safety risk analysis. Exception will continue for 12 months and then conduct further review
to determine effectiveness of the revised process Consistent with SERA requirements Revised lateral limits in place for Area 1 (Scotland) Working together to devise revised notification process that will provide: Reduced risk of collision whilst retaining flexibility for use of airspace Targeted notification process for all NSGA
9
Transition Altitude 2nd TA Consultation (on the CONOPS) closed on 24th February 65 Responses; 64% individuals All major bodies including GAA responded Largely supportive of the CONOPS – many would like to see it
happen as soon as possible Comments Response Document by end of Spring 2016 Change unlikely to be made before 2021 Harmonisation inside CAS Extant CAA policy to harmonise inside CAS at 6000’ P-LAS to 6000’ requirement Norwich remains at 4000’ to minimise airspace impact. Harmonisation outside CAS Need to understand pros and cons of potential common TA at
6000’ – as a common jumping off point for a higher TA.
