About Father Lopez Catholic Located on a beautiful ninety-eight -acre campus in one of America’s most-desired cities, the roots of FLCHS can be traced back to
1924. With a self-imposed average class size of 18-1, the private college-prep school is fully enrolled with 415 students from 33 zip
codes in Central Florida, and 9 countries making up our international program.
Over the years, the school has attracted a very talented and dedicated group of faculty and staff. They have been trained at over 43
different colleges and universities throughout 18 states and Canada. Collectively, they have earned a total of 35 graduate degrees.

Welcome to the 5th year of the Father Lopez Summer Waves Camp Series! The
Summer Waves Camp Series provides students of all ages an opportunity to en-
gage in programs focusing on athletics and the arts all while in an enjoyable
summer camp setting. We are thrilled to offer a variety of courses and camps to
fill your summer with growth, enrichment, and fun!
Father Lopez Catholic High School is located just off of I-95 on LPGA Boulevard in
Daytona Beach. Our Summer Waves Camp Series faculty include experienced ed-
ucators, professional instructors, and talented coaches who work together to pro-
vide a memorable experience for all campers. The Summer Waves Camp Series is
open to students from any school, so please invite your friends!

General Information REGISTRATION
The Summer Wave Camp Series has online registration and payment for all campers. Please visit our
website at www.FatherLopezCamps.com to register for camps. Simply click on the camp or camps
you wish to register for the left hand side of the page. You can also print this booklet and complete
the last two pages and mail in with payment if that is preferable. Walkups will be accepted on the
first day of camp, with a $15.00 up charge on the selected camp.
CAMP FEES
Camps this year will be priced between $100 and $275 depending on length and type. The course
fee must be paid in full to reserve your spot in the camp. After paying online, please fill out a medi-
cal form that is located online on the registration page. Early registration helps ensure placement in
the camp of your choice. A minimum number of students must register for each camp. If this num-
ber is not met, you will be notified by phone or email so that alternative camps can be discussed.
REFUND POLICY
The student will receive a full refund minus expenses incurred (T-shirt, etc.) if withdrawing from a
camp two weeks prior to the start date. To withdraw from a class, please contact the Summer Camp
office at (386) 255-6556, Ext. 341. Unless stated otherwise in the course description, a refund, minus
a 20% processing charge, will be issued for each class withdrawal after such date. If Father Lopez
drops a class or if a student is not eligible for a class, a full refund will be made of all fees collected.
No processing charge will be assessed for changing from one class to another. If a student is asked to
leave the camp for disciplinary reasons, no refund will be given.
ATTENDANCE POLICIES/CAMP CANCELLATION
Please contact the Summer Camp office at (386) 255-6556 , Ext. 341 if your student will be absent.
Fees are not refunded or prorated for absences. Father Lopez reserves the right to cancel any camp if
there is insufficient enrollment. If the designated participation minimum is listed is not met all fees
will be refunded within a week of the scheduled start date. A minimum of 8 registered campers is
needed for a camp to run.

DRESS CODE
The dress code for the Summer Wave Camp Series is casual but conservative. For the sports
camps please wear proper athletic clothes and footwear. Uniforms are not required during
the summer. Students are asked to wear closed-toe or athletic shoes, and attire must be
tasteful and appropriate for the classroom and campus.
WEATHER
Camps will be held rain or shine. If inclement weather is approaching, all campers and staff
will enter the Brown & Brown Fieldhouse for their camp activities.
SNACKS & FOOD
It is suggested that each camper bring a water bottle as well as a small snack for break.
CAMP CHECK-IN
On the first day of your camp, you will check in at the camp headquarter desk in the foyer of
the Brown & Brown Fieldhouse. There you will meet your coach and other campers for the
week. Each day following, you can meet directly in the facility or room of which you camp
will take place.
EXTENDED DAY CARE
There will be no extended day care available this year for summer camps. If an emergency arises where
your camper will not be able to be picked up right away at the end of the day, please contact the front
office of school at (386) 253-5213 or the athletic office at (386) 255-6556 ext: 341.

Camp Descriptions Green Wave Baseball Camp---—----------------------------------------------------------------------$115.00
Fundamentals Camp TBD TBD Rising 3rd - 9th Grades
The Green Wave Baseball Summer Camp will focus on learning and refining the fundamental skills needed to play competitive base-
ball. Daily instruction will focus on individual aspects of the game, mental approach to the game, and the understanding of team phi-
losophies. Drill instruction will include hitting, throwing, pitching, fielding, base running, and proper warm-up techniques. Live game
situations will also be simulated throughout the camp. Players should wear baseball appropriate clothing, and bring their own gloves,
bats, sneakers and cleats daily. The camp will take place inside Father Lopez Baseball Complex, located behind the Brown & Brown
Fieldhouse on campus. Our coaching staff will serve as the main instructors.

A Father Lopez summer tradition, the Green Wave Basketball Camp is back again as the longest running camp on campus! Legendary
head coaches Eddie Miller (Boys Basketball) and Brad Ridenour (Girls Basketball) bring over forty years of coaching experience and
expertise to their summer camps each year. Your camper will get quality instruction stressing fundamentals, technique, philosophy,
strategy, and skill development all in a fun and energetic setting. Demonstrations, drills, and fun games will make up a great week of
hoops! Campers should come in gym clothes with sneakers and a water bottle. Instruction will take place inside the Brown & Brown
Fieldhouse on campus.

Got Spirt? Get ready to get loud and get moving as our Cheer & Dance Camp is back this summer! Varsity head coaches Michelle
Drake (Cheerleading) and Erin Hunter (Dancing Green Wave) are ready to teach future Green Wave the fundamentals of cheering,
jumps, basic stunting, and dancing! Groups will be broken up into two, and half the day your camper will spend learning the proper
technique and fundamentals of Cheerleading, while the other half of the day they will be learning new routines and dance skills. The
final 15 minutes of each day the campers will perform the routines they learned that day, so families and friends are welcome to stop
by and watch! Campers should come dressed in gym clothes and sneakers, and if you have your own poms feel free to bring them!
Each camper is also invited to attend the Green Wave Football Pre-Season Classic on Friday August 16th and perform with the FLC
Varsity Cheerleaders during the first half! Each camp day has a theme and all campers are encouraged to dress up: Monday: Disco/
Tie Dye Day, Tuesday: Disney/Princess Day, Wednesday: USA Day, Thursday: Beach/Luau Day, Friday: School Spirit Day!

The Green Wave Football Summer Camp focuses on teaching the basics and fundamentals of the game in a non-contact setting
focusing on footwork, catching skills, throwing skills, blocking, and demonstration of proper tackling techniques. Each day will in-
clude individual instruction from Head Coach Stephenson and the Green Wave Football staff along with our Varsity Football camp
counselors. Campers will receive instruction in a competitive environment that will allow them to improve their skills and have fun!
Competitions will include: Punting, Passing, Kicking, Catching, Team Competition, and Obstacle Courses. Campers need to be
dressed in gym clothes with a pair of sneakers and cleats if they have them.
Following and hour lunch break Coach Stephenson will lead a boys weightlifting camp designed to show correct form and the ba-
sics of weightlifting to your son as they move forward in their athletic careers. For campers doing both the football and weightlift-
ing camps there will be a $25.00 discount on the weightlifting camp and be only $75.00

Coach Byron Catroppa Green Wave Lacrosse Camp--------------------------------------------$115.00

Come out this summer to learn one of the fastest growing sports in America with Head Coach Byron Catroppa and the Green Wave
staff. No experience or equipment needed, just gym clothes and sneakers (and non-metal cleats if you have them). Sticks, Helmets,
and everything needed will be provided for your camper. The Green Wave coaching staff and player counselors have a great time
with the campers and make sure everything stays fun and energetic using games and drills to help campers gain interest in this
growing sport.

Coach Leroy Fisher Green Wave Girls Weightlifting Camp-------------------------------------$100.00

Come join Coach Leroy Fisher this summer to learn proper form, technique, and core fundamentals of weightlifting. Coach Fisher
has done a fantastic job generating excitement and participation in our Green Wave Girls Weightlifting program over the past 2
seasons. He even led one of our own weightlifters to the FHSAA State Meet this past year. This camp is not only for girls interested
in joining a weightlifting team but will be great for participants in any other sports. They will be able to apply sport specific
exercises and learn how to train for their individual needs.

The Father Lopez Volleyball Camp will use individual instruction, skill development, and game situations to enhance overall volley-
ball performance. Drill and team competition will focus on passing, setting, hitting, and game strategies in a fun and active environ-
ment. Skill groups will be formed to accommodate both the beginner and the more advanced player, all while working together to
build a fun team atmosphere. The camp staff will include the Father Lopez coaching staff, players from former teams, and current
Green Wave varsity athletes. Campers should come in gym clothes with sneakers, knee pads, and a water bottle.

The Green Wave Summer Softball Camp will be lead by Coach Katelyn Fisher and her coaching staff. This camp will lay the ground-
work for your daughter teaching them the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, base running, and many other skills as they grow in their
development. Coach Fisher has a wealth of knowledge from her high school and college playing days.

The Green Wave Tennis Summer Camp is will include instruction for both beginner and intermediate level players and will focuses on
teaching the basics and fundamentals of the game in a small group environment focusing on footwork, fundamental ground strokes,
volleys and the service as well as match strategy . Each day will include individual instruction from head coaches and the Green Wave
varsity Tennis team counselors. Campers will receive instruction in a fun environment that will allow them to improve their skills and
learn the game of Tennis, no matter the skill level! Campers will participate in drills and instruction as well as test their skills in com-
petition and simulated match competitions each day. Campers need to be dressed in athletic clothes with a pair of sneakers and
cleats if they have them.

The Green Wave art camp will focuses on combining all different types of fine arts into one fun experience. We will explore projects
in 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art. This camp will be led by art teacher Lisa Blais. All materials will be provided. No previous
experience in art necessary.

well as puzzles & games, Mensa challenges, and other fun activities to help your student gain the best advantage on the exam. Each
session of the camp will be instructed by Mr. Steve Zelenty.

I affirm I am of legal age and I am the natural and/or legal guardian of the child registering to participate in the sports camp sponsored by Father Lopez Catholic High School (hereinafter “FLCHS”) and am of at least 18 years of age. I understand there are risks associated with the sport camps, as it relates to the participant. Some of those risks include, but are not limited to, bodily injury, property damage, and even death. In consideration for my son’s/ daughter’s participation in the sports camp, I hereby assume, personally and on my child’s behalf, all loss of life, risk of injury, including personal injury or loss or damage to property, or any other injury or loss whatsoever, to myself or my child arising out of my child’s participation in said sports camp. I specifically RELEASE , on my behalf and on behalf of my child, FLCHS, Diocese of Orlando, Bishop John Noonan, its employees, volunteer coaches, and officers as well as any parent, affiliate and subsidiary entities, their agents, servants and employees, (the Released Parties), from any and all liability as to any right of action or claim to relief of every kind or nature whatsoever that may accrue to me, my child, or my heirs or personal representatives for any injury, loss of life, or loss of or damage to property which I or my child may suffer while my child is participating in the sports camp. It is my intent for this Release to remain in full force and effect during the entire term of the sports camp for which I am registering my child. I understand that this Full and General Release includes any claims based on the negligence, actions, or inactions of any of the above Released Parties and covers bodily injury and property damage, whether suffered before, during, or after such participation and whether suffered by me or my child.
