1. STS-133/ULF5 FD07 - MMT Summary - The MMT met very briefly during EVA2 today 18
to review the orbiter systems and mission progress. Discovery continues to perform 19
flawlessly and the teams are working no issues. Enjoy your “Off Duty” time tomorrow. 20
21
2. Comm Loop Overview 22

24
3. WHC - For crewmembers using the WHC during the mission, today the WHC will be 25
unavailable for approximately 5 hours starting at MET 14:00/GMT 11:53 related to 26
CDRA maintenance. During this time, Shuttle crew will need to use the WCS. 27
28
Current waste water generation is continuing to remain on target with predicts. 29
30
4. PFCs - Since we didn't perform a Netmeeting test on the PGSCs due to the OCA Router 31
Harddrive problem yesterday we have coordinated with the ISS team to use the Station 32
SSCs for Netmeeting instead. For Steve L., Eric, Mike, and Nicole, you will all use 33
Private S/G 2 for audio during your PFCs. Steve B. will use Private A/G 2 via a drag-34
through BPSMU so we can keep S/G 2 available for the CDRA ops that are occuring in 35
the morning. For all of you, please inform MCC which SSC you will be using. Al, we 36
have scheduled your PFC to be audio only via A/G 2. 37
38
5. LiOH Change Out Plan - As a reminder, do not perform this morning’s LiOH change 39
out. A new LiOH cue card will be uplinked later today with the updated change out 40
schedule. 41
42
6. Replace pages 2-26 through 2-29 and 3-80 through 3-87. 43

MSG 050 (26-0932) - FD08 TRANSFER MESSAGE Page 1 of 23
Page 1 of 23, MSG 050 (26-0932)
Good morning Mike & Nicole! 1
2
You are definitely on the home stretch for Transfer Ops! As of our last Transfer Brief, you 3
are still ahead, and 75 percent complete overall. The main focus for today is to pack up the 4
Hydrogen Dome in the 10 MLE Bag, and continue the unconstrained items. We’ve provided 5
an inclusive list in your choreography of what items we believe you can accomplish today so 6
you have a quick reference to work from, along with some questions and comments. 7
8
Today’s Transfer Book change pages reflect a few minor pen & inks for Flight Day updates, 9
but also add new transfer items: 10
Handheld Mic swap: The ISS mic you are returning is suspect, but you should have 11
three mics on shuttle now, so that after the swap you will still have two good, working 12
mics on shuttle. Please let us know if that is not the case. We expect you will want 13
to do this swap on hatch closure day, so we have not put it in today’s choreography. 14
Russian items change: We’ve completed coordination of the final Russian items for 15
return, leaving 626 & 627 onboard and returning some Orlan gloves and a ТВУ 16
computer instead. 17
RSP fence return: Two rear horizontal RSP fences from the PMM have been 18
approved for return. The activities to remove these fences will be scheduled on the 19
new FD10 if the additional extra day is approved. A few items have to remain on ISS 20
to accommodate these fences. Note that one of the removed items (the RPCM) was 21
already marked complete, so we have added it as a new item, 802, to restow it on 22
ISS. 23
24
As part of your package today, we have also uplinked the Return Location Sort pages. 25
These are for you to use for quick reference as desired, to verify return locations have all 26
expected transfer items. 27
28
Finally, we’d like to have a good idea of what space is available after any consolidation you 29
are able to do with the food or clothing lockers, and we have provided additional information 30
in the Q&A section below. 31
32

UQuestions & Answers 44
1. Since there was confusion on FD06, please verify that Russian items 626 and 627 45
are still with other prepack items in COL1F2, and NOT stowed for return in Bag F at 46

2. FYI, here is an updated list of things that will remain in the Prepack location and NOT 1
return with you on shuttle: Items 411, 603, 614, 626, 627, and a Russian Condensate 2
Draw Bag. 3
4
3. Here is a list of items that we expected to be transferred per choreography on 5
previous days; please confirm whether these have been marked complete: 6
a. Item 742 (RAMs) per FD05 EHS-RAM-DEPLOY 7
b. Item 748 (Message in a Bottle) per FD06 SPACE-BOTTLE-STOW 8
c. Items 34.3 & 403.1 (PFE and GSC) per FD06 PMM INGRESS 9
d. Item 745 (Robonaut patch) per FD07 PMM Reconfig Activities 10
11
4. Leaveanest seeds, Item 735: We did see some photos of the item on the shuttle; 12
however, JAXA does require a photo of the item in its stowed configuration in 13
MA16D. Can you take an additional photo during your XFER OPS today? 14
15
5. If you create space from consolidation of food or clothing, below is a list of priorities. 16
You have a go to pack this list based on the amount of space you have available. 17
Once you have used all available space, the remaining items should be left on ISS. 18
19
Food Lockers: 20
a. Three food lockers have launched empty and already have items designated 21
to return there (MF14K, MF14M, and MF14O). 22
b. If one additional Food Locker is available, please stow Item 408 there (you 23
reported that this item is currently in MF14M based on a previous Transfer 24
Brief). 25
Clothing Trays: 26
c. Verify item 413 contents fit inside the fresh food trays (MF14E/G). If not, they 27
should be stowed in the first available Clothing Tray before stowing candidate 28
items below. 29
d. Clothing Trays #1 & #2: Item 733 30
e. Clothing Tray #3: Item 743 31
f. Clothing Trays #4 & #5: Item 734 32

OVERVIEW: This message is designed to stow tools used during ULF5 EVAs and pre-stage tools needed for ULF6 EVAs in a separate mesh bag. This message is also color coded so you can easily stow items based on their CTB location. All items of a given color are going into/coming from the same CTB so you can quickly scan through the list and see when you are going into each CTB. .
PROCEDURE: 1. CONFIRM that there is a D-Ring Extender on the A/L D-Ring 2. REMOVE all tethers and D-ring extenders from all bags, MWS, and suits and STOW them on the tether staging area. 3. GATHER 2 empty mesh bag and LABEL them "Pre ULF-6" and "EVA ULF7 Return". 4. GATHER and LABEL ziploc bag "ULF6 EVA2 RETs", STOW GREEN RETs used on EVA2 so they are not used on ULF6 EVA1 (s/n 4397, 4398, 4399, 4400, 4401), and STOW bag in "Pre-ULF-6" mesh bag. 5. DUMP all tools from the crewlock and ORU bags into the Mesh Bag: Done Tools or temp stow for re-stow. 6. STOW any wire ties you consider re-usable in the ziplock at A/L1O0. REPORT the total number of remaing wire ties (short & long) at A/L1O0 so we will know if we need to launch more. 7. REMOVE any labels from Crewlock Bags. 8. COMPLETE Tables A - F. 9. REPORT to MCC-H when activity is complete, the requested S/N information, which tethers were inspected and any deltas.
For help identifying the correct S/N's, reference 2.220.100 EVA Tool Serial Number Reference (SODF: EVA TASK).
