I have a few things I want to highlight from last week. On Wednesday the 6th, EGHS had (11) student athletes sign scholarships in football, golf, soccer, and softball. This is a HUGE number of athletes and is indicative of the great things happening in our athletic programs across our campus. On Saturday the 9th our Boys Soccer Team won it’s Regional Semifinal Game against crosstown rival Rockledge and now will play Tampa Jesuit this Wednesday, Feb. 13th in the Regional Final!!! Congratulations and Good Luck to our Boys Soccer Team! Just another reminder that the registration process for the 2019-20 school year is underway. Parents should make sure your students are signing up for the appropriate courses.

Attention all registered 11th grade students. The SAT will be administered to all registered 11th grade students on March 6th, 2019 at Eau Gallie High School. Students are encouraged to create accounts with CollegeBoard at https://www.collegeboard.org/ for advice on taking the SAT and help with studying for the SAT. Registered 11th grade students have the possibility of attaining concordant scores for both the FSA ELA 10th Grade and Algebra 1 state exams that are
required for graduation, if they have not already passed either or both of the two exams. A score of 430 on the Evidenced Based Reading and Writing Score (EBRW) or a 24 on the Reading
test in the SAT can be used for a concordant score for the FSA ELA 10th Grade state exam. A score of 420 on the Math SAT test can be used for a concordant score for the Algebra 1 EOC. The test will start at 8:35 and will continue through part of Anchor Hour. More information will be
presented when classes resume in January.

Dear Parent or Guardian,
The high school years are a unique time in a person’s life. Teens experience strong loyalties about their friends, teammates, classmates and school. Show your support of your kid and their life at Eau Gallie High School with a personal ad in the 2019 Commodore yearbook.
The yearbook helps your teen remember all the special people and happenings from this school year. The addition of a special photo and message written by you will make the book much more personal.
Ads are available in a variety of sizes and prices. A flyer with ad specs is attached. Buy online at yearbookforever.com or bring photos and text with order form and payment to the front office or yearbook room 46-103.
Sincerely,
Janine Guidice Yearbook Adviser Eau Gallie High School

The Historically Black Institutions Alumni Consortium, Brevard Chapter to host an
Information/Recruitment Breakfast
The Historically Black Institutions Alumni Consortium continues to pursue the goals of assisting
youth in acquiring their high school diploma and providing information for their enrollment at
an historically black institution, or our local college (Eastern Florida State College). The
Consortium still finds a need for students to know of and identify with positive black role
models. For over 25 years, in addition to our “Information/Recruitment Breakfast,” we have
served as tutors, held financial aid workshop, and created a book loan/lab fee account to assist
in the education of the community youth.
This year the “Information/Recruitment Breakfast” will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019,
in the community dining room at Zion Orthodox Primitive Baptist Church, located at 715 Fiske
Blvd. Cocoa, FL. Please let your guidance counselor know if you plan to attend so a breakfast
will be available.
