Every close-knit community cries out for acommunity hangout, close by, easy to get to,with good food at a reasonable price andoffering a nice choice of drinkables.

After Mr. B’s closed, Los Alamitos washurting for such a community hangout.Groups tried other venues, but nothing feltright — too big or too small, too pricey or toofancy, or not set up for groups.

But now that Griffins Grill has opened itsdoors, the community of “greater LosAlamitos” is opening its arms to a rebornhangout that’s even better than what wasthere before.

The menu offers good food well made:salads and sandwiches and pizzas, nachosand taco and burritos,

And burgers: twelve different kinds ofburgers, from the enormous Coach BarnesBurger to the California Burger to the SunnySide Burger.

For those who can’t eat wheat, the burgerscan be ordered bunless — and they’re lookingfor a way to offer pizza with a gluten-freecrust.

Griffins Grill is located at 11272 Los AlamitosBlvd., towards the northern end of the Vonsshopping center near Farquhar Ave.
