1. Determine Goals And Inspirations. If you want a new bedroom for a new baby or if you want your house to be more Zen, those are your goals and inspirations, and that should guide you through the process. You won't be happy with what you get unless you have some expectation for it and achieve that. 2. Space Planning. Whether it's a new build or a fixer-upper, it's important to take note of the prominent features that distinguish your property. If you're looking at re-doing your living room, do you have beautiful light that comes in? Looking at your assets and determining how you can best use those, that's part of the space-planning process. 3. Budgeting. While determining how to divvy up funds is typically top of mind when it comes to renovations, allocating how to devote your time is just as integral to the process. If you have a certain budget in mind for your home and time, you need to communicate that to people you're working with. Individuals with a small budget will likely be taking the DIY path and doing much of the work — and decision-making — on their own. 4. Finishes. Now comes the fun part — choosing the finishing flourishes that will form the "after" part of your reno. Individuals ready to rip out their carpet or revamp their existing flooring have several options. It's an important part of the process to understand your options, as if you have a crew waiting to do other work for one week or you have other accommodations, that's a week worth of cost. 5. Furniture. Costs can quickly mount if you replace your love seat, armchair and sofa all in one go. When opting to invest in the largest pieces for your space, Greaves says it's best to consider selecting classic shapes and styles which will have more longevity.

From My Kitchen Zucchini Noodle Pad Thai
How are your New Years resolutions going? Have you “forgotten” about them? If you resolved to eat healthier in 2017 this recipe may be right up your alley. My family loved it when I made it and they didn’t even miss the pasta noodles! Let me know how your family enjoys and what changes you make!
Ingredients
5 medium zucchini
4 Tablespoons olive oil (divided)
1 1/2 lbs chicken breast, cut into small chunks
6 large cloves garlic, minced or crushed
2 small red bell pepper, seeded and sliced thin
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
4 green onions, sliced in 1-inch pieces
2 large egg
3 cups bean sprouts
Directions
Cut the zucchini into noodles or long pasta by using a vegetable spiralizer tool or similar tool.
Make the Sauce: in a small bowl, combine the sauce ingredients and set aside.
Heat a large pan on medium-high heat. Add two tablespoons of olive oil (reserve the other half for later). Then add zucchini noodles and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the zucchini noodles are tender. Don't overcook the noodles. The zucchini noodles should be slightly crunchy with a tender bite. Let the noodles rest for about 3 minutes to allow all the moisture to release. Remove the noodles from the pan and drain the excess water.
Carefully wipe the same pan remove the excess water, and then re-heat the pan on medium-high heat. Add the remaining olive oil and garlic. Cook the garlic until soft and translucent, about 1 minute. Add the chicken and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until cooked through.
Add the bell peppers, mushrooms and green onions. Cook for about 1-2 minutes or until tender. Add the egg and stir in with the vegeta-bles until the egg is cooked.
Add the zucchini noodles back into the same pan, and then add the sauce. Cook for about 1 more minute or until the zucchini noodles are heated through. Then stir in the bean sprouts.
Serve with roasted peanuts. If you want to add lime wedges, squeeze some fresh lime juice on the noodles right before serving.
1/3 cup roasted peanuts
lime wedges (optional) For the sauce:
4 Tablespoons rice vinegar or distilled white
vinegar
4 Tablespoons fish sauce
6 Tablespoons ketchup
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoon chili garlic sauce
