February is the month of love.

On the morning of the 14th of February 2018 (Valentine’s Day), the

HR Department greeted all staff with a small Valentine’s Day gift

and later the day surprised staff with free lunch. It was well

received by all staff and we would like to thank all the staff that

assisted with the preparation and the handing out of the gifts on

the day.

Godfrey Qwathi from Deboning took part in the SASOL marathon on Saturday 3 February 2018. This year the Free State road running championships was incorporated into this event which led to all the top runners from the Free State as well as from Lesotho participating.

Godfrey competed in the 42.2Km race and completed it in 2 hours 38 minutes, placing him 10th overall.

Congratulations on this achievement Godfrey, you make us all very proud.

Staff Wellfare

Our staff well-being is of the utmost priority to Lynca. We therefore

conducted free TB Screening, with the assistance from SANTA

Johannesburg for staff on the 31st of January 2018.

Just a word of thanks to all for the effort with the surveilance audit in respect of FSSC 22000 –

WE PASSED WITH FLYING COLOURS! Every year we get better and the auditors have to try

harder to find things wrong! From what I understand the auditors were very impressed with our

high standards particularly with respect to ZIZO (well done Bianka you do us proud), traceability,

general facility housekeeping etc – reading between the lines I doubt that there is a Meat facility

like ours in the country that is as highly regarded by the FSSC auditors as is ours.

Thanks in particular Zandro and Team, Renate and Team, Melanie and Team, Verity, Bianka

and of course Andre who leads by his very high standards.

Lynca proudly supported International HIV/AIDS Day.

The 1st of December is International HIV/AIDS Awareness Day and last year

Lynca was proud to participate in this important awareness initiatives.
