But this text is an amazing reminder that even though there is nothing wrong with serving Christ as we do so well here at first Baptist, we need to remember that in order to minister, we always need to be in fellowship with Jesus Christ as His disciples before we can minister to others. The more time we spend with Jesus the more valuable the things you do will be for Him. God Bless, Nuno

Hello folks, Can you believe January is gone? Wow!

I was so glad that we had the opportunity to host the King’s Brass again at our church! What a joy and experience that group brings every time we worship with them. May God continue to bless their ministry! I would like to remind you that we still have tickets available for the Greater Vision concert. This award winning Southern Gospel Trio is visiting us for the first time and you do not want to miss the opportunity to be blessed by their ministry. Tickets for that event are $10, and you can call the church office to get yours.

There’s an inscription on a small tombstone in an English village that reads: Here lies a miser who lived for himself. He cared for nothing but gathering wealth. Now, where he is or how he fares, nobody knows and nobody cares.

Self-centeredness is the exact opposite of agape love. Jesus gave Himself totally in love, with no thought of receiving anything in return. We are to reflect that love to our spouse, family, friends, and the world.

Love doesn’t seek its own. Love considers the other person and gets excited about seeing that their needs are met. If God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. I John 4:11

We are starting the new year with a new look! We have a new logo and a new motto. Our new motto is “With a Big HEART”. We love our preschoolers with a big heart and love to teach them about Jesus. Our teachers are loving Christian ladies that go out of their way to help these children any way they can. Pray for them each day as they teach these children about God’s love.

The Preschool is growing! Limited spaces available for our two, three, and four year old classes. If you, or someone you know, is looking for a Christian Preschool that loves children with a BIG HEART, this is where they need to be. Full-Time and Part-Time spaces available.

If you are able to put fliers up in your office, we would love for you to post a flier about our Preschool. Fliers are available in the Welcome Center or in the Preschool office.

The preschool is looking for a couple volunteers to help in the Preschool office a few hours a day. You are re-quired to have a smiling face, a Big HEART, and a loving spirit. Duties would include filing, making copies, answering the phone, and helping with bathroom breaks. Other clearance and background checks are required. If you are interested or have any questions, please see Dixie Kreulen in the Preschool office or call the Preschool at 385-4704.
