Transparency Enforcement

Transparency in Public Management

Transparency is not Enough

Although in Chile, corruption is limited, it may happen in public procurement

Transparency as empowerment tool works better with a strong civil society

We must do more to prevent corruption than just rely on transparency

Today• Specialized reports to

senior authorities: Including procurement indicators and standards

• We canalized suppliers administrative claims or doubts related to procurement process

Next step• We will build a BI system

to do on line risk assessment for every procurement process.

• We will gather information on highly risky process and we will inform government controllers.

• We will track suppliers complaints outcomes.
