The Bulletin The Director’s Corner We are getting closer to the equator of the first year for the Junior Fellows class and to the sunset of training of 3 rd and 4 th years. Our Fellows continue to build on our long-standing tradition of excellence. In this issue of the Bulletin, we highlight 18 manuscripts on peer review literature, 15 presentations in national/regional meetings, and multiple awards in recognition of the work done by our Fellows. In addition, we see further progress that the Fellows are making personally with new family additions, engagements, and marriages. This year brought a set of challenges and important opportunities. The intensity of Hurricane Harvey brought together trainees, faculty, and patients in an effort to protect and care for the health, and well-being of others. Fellows were a part of the ride out/relief teams in the hospital, helped co-fellows and faculty with the structural effects of the disaster and were an important source of support and hope. At the core of highly functioning teams is trust. Trust comes from the understanding that we are here to be helpful not just to ourselves but to others. From the Fellowship, we wish you peace and joy during this holiday season and hope for a year of achievement and personal growth. The Fellows would like to thank the Faculty and program leadership for a successful start to another academic year! Contained within this 3 nd edition of The Bulletin, you’ll find more of the Fellows work since the start of June 2017, and there is more in the pipeline. In addition, we would like to share with you the future plans for the graduating Fellows. The Bulletin

The Director’s Corner We are getting closer to the equator of the first year for the Junior Fellows class and to the sunset of training of 3rd and 4th years.

Contained within this 3nd edition of The Bulletin, you’ll find more of the Fellows work since the start of June 2017, and there is more in the pipeline. In addition, we would like to share with you the future plans for the graduating Fellows.

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support of the Fellowship. From the participation in the Congenital Heart Walk that raised $68,000, to all of your lectures, and your mentorship with our research projects, we know that our success is a result of the collective efforts and teaching from such a strong team. We would like to send a special “thank you” to Dr. Chris Broda (chair), Dr. Kriti Puri (Executive Committee), Dr. Aimee Liou (Executive Committee), Nicole Goodly (Executive Committee), and DK Lovick (Executive Committee) for their efforts with the Congenital Heart Walk.

The Fellows would also like to thank everyone who “rode out” Hurricane Harvey at TCH. We appreciated all of your help and support during a very difficult time!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
