UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA

There are nine University of California campuses offering four-year bachelors degrees for undergraduates.

To be competitive for admission, you must complete the required A-G courses and have both a strong GPA and strong PSAT/SAT scores.

It is recommended that you exceed the minimum course requirements to increase your chances of admission.

Your GPA, PSAT/SAT and course selection put you on track for admission to a UC.

CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY

There are 23 California State University campuses offering four-year bachelors degrees for undergraduates.

To be eligible to apply, you must meet the minimum A-G admission standards.

Each campus and program has a minimum "Eligibility Index" for applying, which is a combination of GPA and PSAT/SAT.

Your GPA, PSAT/SAT and course work are strong.

You are on track to be competitive for some of the more difficult CSU programs.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE

California Community Colleges is the largest system of higher education in the nation, with 2.1 million students attending 114 colleges.

Every student can attend Long Beach City College, with or without a high school diploma.

Through the "Long Beach Promise" our students who receive an AA from LBCC will have priority admission to Cal State Long Beach.

The Long Beach College Promise is an amazing collaboration between LBUSD, LBCC and CSULB. Beyond providing a free year's tuition at LBCC, the Promise guarantees admission to CSULB for all Long Beach Unified students if they meet the minimum eligibility requirements. The graph below estimates your preparedness for non-STEM programs at CSULB based on your most recent GPA and PSAT/SAT scores. Note: STEM programs have a slightly higher threshold for admission.
