What are raster graphics?

Raster files can consist of on an image or bitmap that has a dox matrix data structure generally representing a grid of pixels or points of colour.

Types of Raster formats Images –Jpegs/TIFF/RAW/GIF/BMP/ PNG/PPM/ PGM/PBM/PNM/WEBP/

Software -Adobe Photoshop,ArcSoft PhotoImpression,Corel AfterShot Pro and Microsoft Paint etc

Evidence where I have used this

• Jpegs easy manipulate• Create effective themes

What are vector graphics?

Vector graphics are mathematic equations that are used to represent images in computer graphics through the lines and shapes being created to form the image part of the structure i.e. the colour, a shape, a thickness of the image. This is ideal for printing magazines

Types of vector software

• Inkscape• CorelDRAW• Adobe Fireworks/ Adobe illustrator

Example of where I have used this:• is?:

• Record label• Cd t• photoshop

• Thin lines may disappear if a vector drawing is reduced too much.

• Small errors in a drawing may become visible as soon as it is enlarged too much

Disadvantages

Metafiles graphics consist of more than one type of a format which can store a multiple of data i.e Raster and Vector graphics.

What are Metafiles?

Examples of metafiles software:• WMF (Windows Metafile) • EMF (Enhanced Metafile)• CGM (Computer Graphics Metafile).• (CDR) Corel Draw File• photoshop

File extension are what visible after saving a document which highlights the name of the format of the document , which you can chose when saving the document..
