1. Background/OverviewDuring your work placement, you will be undertaking a variety of duties and tasks that relate to your course and the role of a disability worker.

You will need to successfully demonstrate that you can perform tasks required in the work environment and collect evidence.

Your workplace portfolio is divided into three sections, and these need to be submitted in three parts following the training and assessment plan agreed upon with your Workplace Assessor. This is the first section.

Your Supervisor will give you guidance and feedback on your performance, supporting you to complete the tasks in an appropriate and professional manner.

Evidence of your performance must be collected and submitted to your assessor. This document, the Workplace Assessment Portfolio Part 1 is where activities 1–4 are outlined with instructions on how to collect evidence.

2. Work Placement PortfolioYour Open Colleges Workplace Assessor will talk to your Workplace Supervisor about all the tasks in each activity.

Your supervisor will confirm that you have completed each task according to the task instructions, and so you need to ensure your supervisor witnesses each task as you complete them.

Before you move onto the second part of the portfolio, make sure you have completed all the tasks in this, the first section, and you have uploaded your work to Open Space.

Deliverables

1. Please follow the instructions in each part of your portfolio.

2. Once you have completed all 4 activities in this part of your Portfolio, upload your portfolio evidence in Open Space using the relevant Assessment Upload link in this Module.
