As it has no violence or inappropriate behaviour in. It is designed to entertain and be a family film meaning it wont have swearing, drugs etc. The characters and costumes wouldnt be difficult for this genre either.It wouldnt be a good idea to have people out singing in our film. One song would take up the whole of our short film. Also It would mean a lot of editing and recording of the music. Another thing is that making films funny to all is very difficult as people have different senses of humour.

Bridget Jones DiaryComedyRomantic/Drama15-Funny characters and lines-Hopeless Romantic main character-The love triangle between 3 people

-The set would be easy as it is set in the 21st century. -The costumes would be easy as you could just have normally dressed characters- What you may find funny, may not be funny to the audience.-the explicit language of the 15.- The Romance may not be appropriate.

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of The RingActionAdventure/FantasyPG-Mythical creatures and characters-Heroes going on adventures to rescue people and places-an unsuspected hero-Fantasy styled music This is suitable as the characters would be easy to portray. Also the music would be easy to get hold of and create as much fantasy music has been created and can be developed.The creatures wouldnt be easy to create and the setting of the fantasy land would be hard to find unless we went to the countryside. It wouldnt be practical to have a mythical based film when we live in the 21st century with nothing much mythical about it.

InsidiousHorrorThriller15-Suspension-The innocent victims-The scary creature/curse/horror causing terror-The shocking moments that make people jump-Dark/Tense music -The timing of terrorEasy settings and costumes as it can be set in the 21st century. Can create suspense and the eerie music can be easily got to create the horror film. Also there are a lot of forest areas which are traditional to many horror films. The timing we film the film may be at night meaning we might not be able to film on certain locations. Also it could be violent in some places meaning it is inappropriate.

Star TrekSci-FiAction/Adventure12-Futuristic setting and costume-Space disasters-Futuristic creatures-The heroes-Futuristic musicIt would be easy to write dialogue for this sort of film. Also the action scenes would be great for building tension and adventure in our task. The setting wouldnt be practical and the costumes would be difficult to get hold of. Also the special effects needed would take time to create and edit so that the film looked realistic.

Also we would have to record the actors dialogue and then spend time matching it to the action going on in the animated sequence

The Other Boleyn GirlHistorical Drama/Biography12-Historically accurate costumes (long gowns and pantaloons)-historical actions and punishments- Historical setting and props of the time period (Tudor)-Music of the time period The music would be easy to get hold of and possible to add to make the film realistic. The historical facts would be easy to get hold of so that we represent the period we would set the film in is accurately represented.There arent any castles or historical settings that are still intact to film the film. The costumes would be expensive and difficult to find. Also it would take a lot of research to make sure that the period we set this genre of film in meaning we would be using up valuable filming time.

The Good The Bad The UglyWesternAdventure18-Good Cowboy-Western setting -Western styled props-Cattle and horses -Traditional western shoot out-Western music -Cowboy conflict-Saloon setting Outfits arent too difficult to get hold of and most of the props arent difficult to get either. Not too much violence.The setting would be difficult to find to make sure that the genre of film is accurate and believable to the audience. Also we might have a bit of trouble with weapons if we are filming off premises where people know we are only filming and not really fighting or having a shoot out.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of ShadowsCrimeAction/Adventure12-Mystery that has to be solved-A detective (slightly odd/Insane)-Detectives right hand man -A villain -Murder- Set in periodic crime period -Detective wears traditional costume you would associate with a detective.Storylines arent difficult to come up with and most of the props are easy to get and have. The characters are easy to portray.Some of the violence many be too much for our courseworkLanguage and some references may be inappropriate. Also the props may be easy to get hold of but they are expensive along with costumes.

Saving Private RyanWarAction/Drama15-War-Conflict-Tragic deaths of soldiersSoldiers fighting to save their country-War Music-Costumes and setting of a war.There would be no inappropriate actions in the film we create in this genre. The set and props would be difficult to find and the costumes would be expensive. Also there may be to music violence in a film of this genre.
