How does ELBA work? Read READ and ENJOY an ELBA book. Books may be read independently by students. You may also read with a parent, sibling or friend. You can even listen to the audio book! A classroom teacher can read the book aloud to you as well. We hope you PAWS to enjoy a few of this year’s amazing ELBA books! Show What You Know Take a short quiz in the library, in your classroom or online. The online quizzes are available at bit.ly/kellyelba or at our Kelly Library website. On the Kelly Website: * Click on About Our School * Click on Media Center * Click on ELBA You need to pass the quiz with at least 7 out of 10 correct. If you take the quiz online, you will find out how you did on the quiz right away. If you prefer the paper quiz, bring your quiz to the library to be scored. The librarians will correct and keep track of tests taken and passed. ELBA = Teamwork ELBA Trophy Each month, the ELBA trophy will travel to the classroom (Grades 3 rd , 4 th and 5 th ) that has read and passed the most ELBA quizzes. At the end of the year, the class that has read the most ELBA books (at each grade level) will win the trophy and take a special class picture that will be on display in the library and around the school. ELBA Party Students who complete their grade level requirement receive an invitation to the end-of-the year E E E L L L B B B A A A P P P a a a r r r t t t y y y ! ! ! ! ! ! .
