Sponsors and Exhibitors are a major component of Pathology Update, it is important that we return thissupport by visiting their booths in the Trade Exhibition Hall. I acknowledge the involvement of our major sponsor, theCommonwealth Department of Health and Ageing for its continued support of the Update.

Finally, I thank my colleague Dr Jeanne Tomlinson, Chair of the Pathology Update Overseeing Committee. Her energy andenthusiasm in taking this meeting to new heights has been boundless.
