Len had learned that Ken loved to be left alone at theapartment. And he didn't explode as much when he got to stayhome and look out the window and yell at people going by.

Shantai was walking next to Len. The only time they wereseparated was at night. Otherwise they both felt better by eachother. However Calypso was pretty much always with Len anddidn't think anything of it. She was always slightly arrogant.Calypso had agreed with Antonio that he could get the neckarea as long as she could still sit on Len's shoulders.

However Calypso had taken over that spot for the time being.Antonio was having fun flying around in the town square. Hislight gold body with lavender spots sparkled in the sun light.Unfortunately they walked past the candy shop and had to gethim something earlier so he looked like 2 faedragons flyingaround. However now they were chilling on the outside of townunder a big tree. Len worked on music while Calypso andAntonio ran around. Shantai wasn't under the tree, instead shewas out in the sunlight taking a nap. Hey, she was half cat. Lendrew on the paper a slightly harder piece of music. She wouldn'thave given it to her student a few weeks ago but the lessonshad shown good results. However she was cut back a lesson aweek. Which was good and bad. Less money but less work.She'd started doing odd jobs, like running things to people, forthe extra cash. And her bonded usually came with her so thatmade things better.

{officially done! Open for anyone and Len's bonded will bechatty later.

She glanced skyward and judged the time to be mid afternoon;

the sun was heading for the horizon and the sky was hintingtoward tones of orange. Of course, judging by the odd

happenings that took place everyday, if might have as well beenmorning.

Tatsukos' footsteps picked up the dust on the road, leaving asmall trail as she dejectedly walked toward civilization and newadventures.

Shantai lifted her head up, hearing approaching footsteps. They

were lighter one's, most likely female. She looked over toLenny, who looked absolutely obsessed in her work. Calypso,who's paws were touching the ground, was playing with Antonio.

None of them watching for danger, something she was used to.She remembered what happened last time she was needed to

protect. She looked at the inside of her right claw, there was ascar there to remind her, even though it was very small. It could

have looked like she misjudged a rock while landing.

Shantai shut those thoughts away. She couldn't tell Len yet, notuntil she was alone with her bonded. Which may be never at

this rate. No one in her group had noticed a difference in her,which was probably good, but damn they were so unobservable.

They'd all the dead if she wasn't around. She then turned herhead, and waited for whoever was coming around. Meanwhile

Calypso was chasing Antonio. She will catch you!!! She saidmerrily. which was different for Calypso to be so happy.

But hey, she was the center of Antonio's attention. That alone

made it worth it. And she could have caught him an hour ago,but it was more fun to run around and hear his chirp-like

screams every time she got near him. Antonio was defiantly agood addition to the group, Ken had unfortunately not been.

Though they had no idea where he'd went a week ago. Probablythought there was a chase. And there was nearly a smile of his

face. However, that was impossible for Ken. He'd proven thatmany times.

{Sorry Len didn't pop up in this much but she will once she

hears ya. ^___^}

Oindi walked out past the trees. She had finally decided to get

near the town. At this point in time every step she took wouldput her closer to other people. She stood by a tree for a

moment and sighed as the city air hit her. It wasn't so bad. She

closed her eyes and absorb some of the sun's rays. When sheopened her eyes to look around, she saw a girl and her bonded

not to far off. Maybe it would be nice to say hello.Oindi took a step towards the group. Her mood had calmed a bit

since she had decided to venture this far anyway. Her presencedid not give any way to threaten, but as she had learned earlier,

you should respect the bonded creatures. She began a slow

stroll to the group and waved at the bonded to show a hello.Their human was absorbed in whatever work she was doing.This interested Oindi. What kind of work would this girl be

doing? She offered a hello before getting closer. "Good day."She said softly and stood in one place, waiting to recieve a

welcome.

Tatsuko kept walking, glancing up at the treetops, marveling at

their colors. Everything was new to her and so every step wasfilled with curiosity; every single thing evoking about a dozen

questions in her mind. She was in her own private little world,daydreaming and unaware of where she was going.

Consequently, she veered slightly off the path and past a pair of

flowering bushes. Staring into space, she didn't notice Shantaiuntil she was almost upon her, half-tripping as she spotted the

gryphon.

Alarmed, she took several steps backward, her backpack fallingon the side of the road.

"Wha..."

Not the most eloquent word she had ever said, but it had been

the first time Tatsuko had ever spotted a creature such as this.Her hand twitched, going for her belt knife, before she saw the

girl next tot he tree. She tilted her head in confusion, trying tomake sense of what she saw; furry creatures and human mixing

together, happy as you please. Shape shifting she wasaccustomed to; there were dozens of people who shapeshifted

to more powerful forms where she came from. Any sort of fourlegged animal was included in the dinner menu, or anything

small enough was an afternoon snack.

Her trepidation stalled as she saw another girl approach thegroup but she could do little more than stare at Shantai. The

gryphon was something else altogether; half bird, half cat,Tatsuko couldn't figure out how to react to the creature.

Shantai now saw another human approaching them. Surely theother one would be walking up soon. She gave a click of her

beak as a warning to Lenny to look up. But Len didn't. "Good

day."Len looked up. What the heck? When did they get here?"Hello. Yeah it's really nice. Calypso, don't eat Antonio."Len said as a warning since she didn't like how close her little

air bites were getting.

Shantai quickly got up and took a few steps back as she saw thegirl reach for a knife. "Relax human. I'm no harm to you."

She said. Wow some humans were crazy. She ruffled herfeathers in annoyance. Calypso and Antonio had stopped playing

to see what was going on. Len set her stuff aside and stood up."Yeah what Shantai said. But she's more like a giant teddy

bear instead of a gryphon." Len said and looked back with asmirk on her face.

Shantai just gave her the look back as best a gryphon could.

Looking past Len she saw Antonio, bravely, nip at Calypso's earsthen zoom off. Well at least Calypso wasn't clashing with her

anymore. Maybe that's just what happens when 2 girl bondedshave a girl bondee. If that makes sense. To her, it did, but she

could tell just by thinking that some wouldn't get it. Unless shedrew a picture, which no one wanted to see. Why? She was a

gryphon of course so her claw didn't know how to grip a pencilwell.

Oindi could clearly see the surprise on Lenmana's face andlaughed. "Sorry to interupt anything. May I join you? Oinditurned to the other girl as well, her tail wagged slightly. "Helloto you as well. You seem new to this place. Don't worry,no one here is very dangerous. They are actually quitefriendly." Oindi remembered her first time here and the

confusion that followed. It would be a good time to help thisnewcomer get settled so she didn't have to go through as muchas Oindi did.

(No prob. I'm going to be letting my chavo join once I bond tohim properly. Just letting you know so he doesn't just appear.Once that happens my posts will probably be longer.)

The East gryphon's benign manner put the antsy girl at ease.She armed hand lowered as she appraised them; she hadn't

seen anyone like Oindi before and, although Len lookedperfectly normal, looks could be deceiving. With her wolf ears

and tail, Tatsuko couldn't figure out if Oindi was mostly animalor mostly human.

The most dangerous thing either had done was offer her smiles,and that didn't exactly scream bloody murder. That settled thematter; she would try to act decent from now on and not jump

at every little thing like a pathetic little mouse.

She gave Shantai a sheepish look. "Sorry, it's just that...well,I haven't seen anything like you in my life" One thing was

evident; the girl was truthfully blunt, blissfully unaware if shehurt anyone's feelings.

A teddy bear with razor-sharp talons and a disemboweling

break, she thought as Shantai ruffled her feathers.

The girl gathered up her courage and moved forward, hoping

every word Len had said was true. "I'm Tatsuko, Tat forshort." She offered in greeting "...and, yeah, I'm too new formy liking and totally lost. I've been lost since I got here."

She smiled slightly at Antonio and Calypso, thinking of the furrycreatures as cute rather than seeing them as her next meal. On

her first day, she had made mistaken the tzingani as snacks, buthad been set straight by a very disconcerted bondee.

"Um...So *where* exactly am I?"

Shantai calmed more when the girl relaxed. Hey, she had somefiiine feathers right now and she did notwant anyone to come

near them with a knife. Otherwise she would rip there head off,unless they apologized and offered her something amazing.

Maybe she had hung around with too many, hahaha get it?She'd only been around two in rps hahaha, vain gryphons. Oh

well, she had a right to be like this. "Yeah it'd be great if youboth joined us." Len said calmly after seeing Shantai relax.

Of course, her other bonded didn't seem to care. Though this

would have been a great time for Samurai to step in. Actuallyshe had only seen him a few times and of course Shantai hadn't

been around. Then she heard a little faedragon battle scream.As if she could look normal in front of ANYONE!... Sorry, she got

emotional sometimes. PROTECT! Len! Ok? He asked lookingangrily at the two humans and all the creatures around her. His

little claws weren't extended now, but when they were he'dcause some serious damage. Len just chuckled and petted his

head. "It's ok Samurai." She saw him look around again thenwith a content chirp he landed on her head. As if that was that.

"Yeah there are a lot of really nice people here. Only a

few merchants are grouchy but some stay out longer thanothers and it shows sometimes." Len said. Well it had been

the truth. And she wasn't going to talk about when or what went

down when she figured it out. Too many bad memories. "HelloTat. I'm Len. And oh jeeze I have a big group. Uhh... lets

start with Shantai, my gryphon. Samurai is on my head.Calypso is my tzingani. And Antonio is my light gold

faedragon. And my Shafa Ken is at home along withVarekai my baby west gryphon." Wow she had a big group.

And she originally wanted to bring Varekai but he was grouchy

and needed a nap. For now he was sleeping in her room, buteventually he'd be out with Shantai.

"Your in Isnt Weyrd town. Well it's the main one that Iknow of." Len said. Wow she wasn't being a good tour guide.

{Ya feel f ree just to have little creatures fly/run in. ^_^}

It was a good time for introductions it seemed."My name inOindi. I'm kinda new here to, but I am warming up to the

place." Her ears twitched as she heard a rustle in the bushes.She knew exactly what it was, but she didn't want Tat to take

out her knife from surprise again. She decided to reveal thelittle creature from his trick. Her ears twitched again. It seemed

that he had changed directions. What was he up too? Shethought it was amazing that they knew eachother so well in the

short amount of time they have been together.

She caught the sound of a jump and decided it was time toreveal him. She smiled and looked up at him jumping out of the

tree. "And this is my chavo Romeo." Oindi caught him in midair and he snuggled up close to her body. "She has caught him."

He sounded muffled and she wondered why till she looked at hismouth. Romeo smiled up at her. "He has brought her a flower."

Oindi blushed. "That is very sweet of you." She took thepurple flower and put it in her hair. It stood out from the rest of

her plain clothes. Oindi looked at the other girls and explained."Romeo here is quite the romantic as his name suggests."

When she had first meet Romeo she had fallen in love with him

for those traits. It was nice to have a companion such as himaround. Romeo looked at the other two girls as well and nodded

his head to them. "He is pleased to meet. He would havebrought more flowers if he would have known."

The 10 year old blinked at the zooming faedragon. Heimmediately reminded her of overprotective Kazi back home;

size didn't matter for her either and she could just as easilyclaw an enemy's eyes out as steal your underwear,depending on

her mood. Both of them were a wonder to see, even if Kazi

didn't look a bit like Samura.

Len's bondeds seemed a bit more intimidating than the ones shehad previously met, especially Shantai and the battle eager

faedragon. Not for the first time, her eyes gleamed with thehope of having one of her own. While she still very much

thought that the tzigani would make a lip-smacking chop suey

(strange girl), the other creatures had this magical quality shecouldn't ge t over.

Ah! A little romantic chavi! It wasn't the first one she had met,but it was the first one who had addressed her, even as part of

a group.

She bowed slightly, her hands clasped before her, her backpacksliding over her shoulder and to the front. "Pleased to meet

you." she said amiably.

She set down her backpack and stretched; stepped on tiptoe,bent her arm behind her back, pulled at her head left and right

and finally cracked her knuckles, unaware of the other's

reactions. Finally done, she squat down and brought out a largepack of jerky and a water bag.

"Ah, well. I'm still trying to find my way home; I might aswell stock-up on a few things I need." she commented as

she opened unwrapped the jerky, the smell of meat tickling hernose. It was the last she had, but the promise of more food was

just around the corner."Anyone want any?"

"Nice to meet you Oindi. I'm somewhat new here. I know

my way around town though." Len said with a little chuckle.Ya she had many experiences on how to get around, and what

places to avoid at certain times. She then saw a chavo getcaught midair. Romeo was his name. Calypso had stopped

quickly. Nearly hitting the root on the ground. Len put Calypsoon her shoulders, knowing she'd want to be up high to see the

Chavo.

And of course. What was he, romantic. Every single creaturethat was of the same breed as one of her pets was romantic.

Especially with Shantai. "It's no problem Romeo." Len said.Calypso's little silver body with her dark bone like markings and

tail stood out against Len's clothing. Maybe that's why Calypsohad suddenly decided to help Len out. Or she wanted more

jewelry. She is glad to meet you all.

What? Oh no, this wasn't Calypso being nice and sweet. Ok apart of it was but it was mainly for the attention. Antonio was

now on Shantai's head taking a nap. Apparently being chasedaround took a lot out of him. Len wasn't really phased by Tat

being super young. There were lots of youngin's that she'd met.

None of Len's creatures made a move for the jerky. "Nothanks." Len said. She was trying to become mostly a

vegetarian but eat sea food from time to time. Which was finewith Calypso since that's what Calypso loved.

Oindi smiled and nodded at Len. It was nice to meet so manynew people finally. It seemed that most of the humans and such

around here were fairly new too. At least she wasn't alone.Oindi looked at the jerky and sat down cross legged. It seemed

just like the smoked deer meat back home and she wondered ifit also tasted like that. Oh how she missed those delectable

munchies. Smoked salmon, lingonberries, and even the air risen

bread. Eveerything was unique and satidfying in its own way.Now there was nothing here to satisfy her tastes. Still Tat heldthis tantalizing food in front of her. Maybe this would be the one

thing to quell her cravings."I'm not sure what it is, but itlooks interesting enough. May I have some?" Oindi couldn't

wait to see what it tasted like.

Romeo on the other hand was interested in Calypso. He climbedout of Oindi's lap to stand underneath her. Her bone markings

were very fine and her eyes stood out amoung it all. Of course,his did the same with his body. Dark blue almost black, they

danced around absorbing her details. " She is very beautious.He is honered to be in her presense." He bowed lower then

before and then stood before her. He wanted to let her take inall his details as well for he was handsome. Of course, he was

Romeo after all. He admired himself as well as others.

Smiling, Tatsuko sat back, resting her weight on her knees

before spreading out a hand-woven bread cloth. Completelywhite, its edges were decorated with tiny,cross-stitch winged

creatures, much like a cross between a fox and a hummingbird.She layed the paper with the jerky on the center, placing the

water bag beside it.

"Sure, help yourself."

The meat was from three different creatures from herhomeworld, and each was slightly different than the other.

"This is Samak Jerky", she pointed at the lighter meat "it's ariver fish with wings. And this is from Daja, a flightless

bird. And the darkest one is Th'ala Baquala. Think of it as

a three headed...thing." She made a face, trying to come upwith a word to describe it.

"I guess you'll just have to try it." She said with apologetic

smile.

Romeo and Calypso caught her eye, and she giggled at the pair

Both were beautiful and they seemed well aware of it.

"Now *I* wish I had a companion like that." she said in a

wistful voice, looking at Romeo.

Len decided to sit down again. Moving slowly, to balanceCalypso and Samurai, she was able to sit down again. She wasshocked how Calypso was being flirty. Good thing she hadn'tbeen at that bonding otherwise the two would have already met.Calypso, who had so far been sheltered from males since she'dbonded Len, was very interested in Romeo. His coat wasdifferent but maybe that's what she liked. Especially with the

dark eyes it made his whole feature seem...nicer.

" She is very beautious. He is honered to be in her presense."And now when Len thought Calypso was going to be nice andsweet, she heard this out of her bonded. She is happy you feelthat way. Len rolled her eyes and picked up Calypso and madeher stand on the ground near Romeo. Calypso gave a glare toher bonded before looking to Romeo. Len had been somewhatlistening to what Tat was saying, more of focusing on makingsure Calypso didn't say something wrong.

"Oh don't worry. You'll be able to get one soon. Otherwisethere's bound to be some bondings soon." Len said with a

smile. So far she'd only had beginners luck with Samurai. Andnow she had to buy more stuff for her bonded so that made ithard to try and get more creatures.

Oindi listened as each of the different jerkys were described.The creature they were from seemed a bit unnerving to her butevery planet has their own creatures. Since she recentlydiscovered this, the concept was still fresh in her mind and shewas more open minded now then before so she accepted it."Ummm, what interesting creatures....Thank you forletting me try." She took a bit of the flying fish one. This oneseemed a bit closer to her homeland creatures. Salmon were thefish they used in her world to make strips such as these. Mostlythey used deer meat or something of that sort to make thestrips of dried meat.Oindi was catious at first but after her first nibble she took a

bigger bite. The meat seemed different but not bad. A bitblander then she was used to but at least it didn't burn hertongue or something strange like that. One thing was for sure,seasoning was used everywhere she had been so far. Peopleseemed to recognize the power of spices and minerals no matterwhere they lived. That became a sort of comfort to her. Shesmiled at Tat "It is almost like our type of fish at home. Iguess I will venture a try at the other too, but only a try.I would like you to be able to savor the rest." Oindigrabbed the second meat described. It tasted like chickenalmost but not quite. More turkey maybe? She couldn't describeit but the spice added greatly to the flavor. She decided sheliked that one. Then a thought came to her mind. Did thesethings taste different to her then to Tat? It was weird to think

about but everyone does have their own tastes. Oindi grabbedthe last meat and her face lit up with surprise. Was it spicy orjust hot? She could not tell but she had to spit half of it out.Then she fell over with her mouth open in a sort of food comma.That jerky was just so strong.Romeo bowed low to Calypso, trying to inpress her furtherobviously. "Would she like anything to complement that beauty?Perhaps a flower?" He really enjoyed making others feel pleasedwith him and his ways. This was just his personality and heacted like it around everyone. You never you know if he is doingit for friendship or love at time. But when he saw Oindi fall overhe rushed to her side. That was one case where you could tellhe loved. His bonded was his world for the time. He stood overher and looked at her mouth. "It seems to be scorched orsomething of the sort. Does anyone have water?" He rubbedagainst her face trying to wake her up. "Silly bonded. It wasmearly some foreign food. Nothing bad. She should get used tothings like this." He licked her nose.

Glad that Oindi had enjoyed the first tidbit of meat, she feltmore at ease. At least they now had something in common; thesharing of food always brought people closer. Tatsuko was as

different from Oindi as they could be. The wyvern girl was asky-kisser, loving the feel of the air underneath her as she

soared through the clouds. The werewolf was most likely athome on the ground, clad in a mantle of fur, running through

the forest. For now, the only connection they shared, as slimand new as it was, was the food before them.

"Fish is a very big part of our lives." She titled her head inthought "As a matter of fact... it's about everything weeat." Her tone revealed a hint of disappointment in their

culinary knowledge. Really now, how many dishes could youmake if all their island had were fish and a few spouts and

vegetables? If they wanted a variety, they had to trade for it orhunt it down themselves. Literally hunt it down.

Tatsukos' eyebrows rose, surprise and amusement registering on

her face. "Ah..I didn't expect that to happen." shecommented, wrinkling her nose at the offending meat. She

quickly grabbed the leather bag containing water and uncorkedit, holding it out to Oindi. She smiled out of the corner of her

mouth at Romeo's concern for his bonded.

"Here, this might help."

All the talk aobut bonding and all the manner of winged, scaly,and furry creatures had opened her up to a ver silly idea. What

if she were to bond? It sounded sketchy at best. She wanted togo back home; a bonded would start trying her to this place. It

was new, strange and dangerous. While all she had met werefriendly people (if you excluded the fur, wings and fangs on

some of them, they WERE people), Tatsuko had an inkling thatnot everything smelled of roses around here.

"How exactly did you get all of these creatures to join

you?" She asked in spite of herself. Curiosity killed the cat, butit also helped gather information. She was sure the animals

didn't just start following the women; the Tzigane were far toodifferent from the Gryphons for that. The furry creature were

far too cute to have the same personallity as the magesticpredators.

Len was curious how Oindi would react to the jerky. Apparentlywell. Though she wasn't a fan of where Calypso might bedragging Romeo to. She was afraid that she'd convince him tosteal something. Then the other jerkies seemed to be ok. But itsadden Len to think of what had to happen for them to be ableto eat meat. Though now the 3rd jerky made Oindi fall over."Uh, does that usually happen?" Len asked.

Calypso didn't really pay attention. It was her time to shine inthe flirting ring. Show Shantai what it was all about. When shewas about to reply Romeo rushed over to his bonded. She heard

Shantai chuckle, probably from seeing her ears and face combo,so Calypso turned her head and hissed at her. Calypso enjoyed

hissing at things when she was mad. It just made her feelbetter.

Len watched as Tat jumped into action with water. OH! That's

what she left at home. Well too late now. "How exactly did you

get all of these creatures to join you?"An interesting question.She was glad to reply. "Well I met Samurai at a bonding.Shantai and Calypso I met in the wild. And the rest are

from the Wild Creature Stall." Len said with a smile. Sheloved all of her bonded. Though Kenneth was at the bottom of

the love list since he could make her blind.
