Follow this guide to install the two Sophos Central Components for Datto RMM to utilizethe Sophos Thin Installer for deployment.

First Download the Customer CSV File from the PartnerDashboard

Click on the Deployment section from the left menu.

Then click the Customer CSV File to download. This will need to be redownloaded as new customersare added.

When you open the file and expand the columns you'll see Customer Name followed by ExampleCommand Line, then Customer Token and finally Management Server.



If you right click the column for the Example Command Line and select Hide it will remove that from theview.

Then you will be left with just the Customer Name, Customer Token and Management Server (AlsoKnown as Location).

This is the information that you will need when filling in the variables in Datto RMM.



Datto RMM Component Import

Logon to Datto RMM and then click on Components. Then click on the Import Component button.

Click the Choose File and then browse to find the Sophos Central Installer.cpt file.

***Repeat these steps for the Sophos Central Installer - Product Prompt.cpt as well.

Then click on Upload. This will bring up the Component prior to saving it.



Simply click the Save button without making any changes.



On the Component List, search for Sophos.

You should now see the two components that were added.

Make sure you click on the Star to favorite the component. This will make it appear in the Scheduledand Quick Jobs



Setting up the Site Variables

Next let's setup the Variables needed for the script. These variables will comes from the Customer CSVFile downloaded in the first step.

Click on Sites and then select the Site that your needing to install.



Click on Settings

Scroll down until you find the Variables section.

Click Add Variable

First add the Customer Token.

Variable Name: SophosCustToken

Variable Value: "Copy the Customer Token for that Customer from the Customer CSV File"

Next add the Management Server



Variable Name: SophosMgmtServer

Variable Name: "Copy the Management Server for that Customer from the Customer CSV File"

Last add the Products

Variable Name: SophosProducts

Variable Name: "options below" "Seperate multiple selections with a Comma" Example:antivirus;intercept

• all - Installs all three componets• antivirus• intercept• deviceEncryption



Once completed the Site Variables will look like this.

Running the Component

The component currently has to be schedule or run using a quick job manually against the workstations.



Running the Sophos Central Installer will use the pre-populated variables in the site. No additional inputis needed.



Running the Sophos Central Installer - Product Prompt requires additional input. You'll need to mark thecomponents needed with True (Default) and False for those not needed.

This component to useful if you need to install a different component for a few machines only.



Setting up a Daily Schedule for Sophos Central Installs

You can setup a Daily Schedule to run a script against Site Device Filters setup to look for SophosCentral Missing.



First you need to setup a Site Device Filter. Do this by clicking into an Site and then clicking on theGreen Plus symbol.

Next we need to fill out the Filter

Name: Sophos Central Missing



Criteria: Antivirus Product Name - Does cot contain - Sophos

Next click on the green circle plus to add an additional criteria

Criteria: Operating System - Does not contain - Server

Check the box for Add this filter to my other sites

Click Save

Next wee need to Jobs and New Job

From here we'll create a new Daily Install Job for any Devices that are not Servers that are missingSophos Central. You can setup multiple jobs to run thoughout the day to ensure that workstationsmissing Sophos get installed as quick as possible.



Name: Daily Sophos Central Install Check

Schedule: Daily

***Select a time that work for you***

Job Target: Site Device Filter - Sophos Central Missing

***You will need to select the Sites that this will apply to***

Components: Sophos Central Installer

Everything else is optional

Click Save at the bottom of the page



Your now all set to look for workstations missing Sophos Central and getting them installedautomatically.
