Emergency Procedure

Numerous agencies collaborated to provide the most up‐to‐date informaon     regarding air frame specic shutdown procedures.

U lize pilot and crewmember instruc ons rst If occupants are incapacitated, dead, or otherwise unable to provide direcon this tool should be useful making the aircra safer  to conduct emergency operaons.

If occupants are incapacitated and the aircra rotors are s ll rota ng under power emergency responders can consider direc ng a stream or streams of water into the air intake of the aircra to drown and force

an engine shutdown.

Each airframe has different air intake manifolds but usually forward of the rotor mast on the top of the aircra.
