FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTERThe YMCA believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. That’s why atthe Early Childhood Development Center we provide care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years in a safe, nurturing, educational andenriching environment. Our value based program is designed to enhance and enrich each child's cognitive, social, physical andemotional growth. At the Y, children will learn through self exploration and guided discovery with the High Scope Curriculum. Throughcollaboration with parents and families we provide support and strive to meet the developmental needs and temperament of eachchild. We provide additional opportunities that encourage children to learn, grow and thrive including our youth sports, dance andcreative development programs.
“The open-door policy at the Y made it easy to observe the children and their teachers in various situations and I was alwaysimpressed with how the staff handled the children. This is not always the case in a child care program and it’s a testament to thetraining and guidance that you provide to your staff.”
