The quick and simple to install solutionfor all tile & stone floors.

ECOFLOOR Underfloor Heating Mats are a combination of a heating cable attached to a fibreglass mesh scrimthat makes installation easy. The mat can simply be rolled out onto the floor saving precious time. The matshave double sided tape on the underside so they can easily be fixed to any clean surface.

ECOFLOOR Underfloor Heating Mats have a twin conductor cable simplifying installation with a single 3m “coldtail” connection. Available in 2 standard power dissipations: 150 Watts/m2 mats are suitable for internalapplications including kitchens and bathrooms & 200 Watts/m2 mats are available for conservatory use orareas where high heat losses can occur.

Suspended Floors - When fitting ECOFLEXECOFLEX cable to a timbersub-floor it is essential that standard precautions to stabilisethe floor are taken to prevent floor movement. All chipboard& timber floorboards must be covered with either ECOMAXinsulated tile backer board or 18mm WBP Plywood.

Concrete Floors - For optimal performance it isrecommended before laying ECOFLEXECOFLEX cable, a layer ofECOMAX insulated tile backer board is fitted. This willminimise heat losses & ensure quicker heat-up times forthe floor. ECOFLEXECOFLEX can be laid directly onto an un-insulated floor, however this will increase running costs& heat-up times.

Clear walkways,pavements and drives

In the winter months, serious injury can occurfrom the formation of ice on work platformsin warehouse loading bays or on entrancewalkways to busy public buildings etc. Thispotential hazard can easily be minimised byinstalling an ice prevention system.

In the case of snow fall, an ice preventionsystem will quickly melt any snow that fallsproviding clear, safe access for pedestriansand vehicles on pavements and drives.

MPSV heating cables are rated at 20 Watts/mand used for ice and snow melting of outdoorareas and other applications where thecable is embedded in concrete.

The most common application in industry isheating of ramp or loading platforms infactories and warehouses, where an iceprevention system can reduce the risk ofaccidents and ensure work can be carriedout at all times. There are however a varietyof applications for ice and snow melting. Allthese applications can be kept free from iceand snow so heavy salting and snow shovellingare avoided. These include: car parks; garagedrive ways; pavements and outdoor steps.

System Construction

MPSV cables should be installed in a sand bed orconcrete layer. For effective and efficient operation itis best to install a layer of insulation material below thecable. This will prevent heat being lost to the sub-soil. Asuitable compression & moisture resistant polyurethaneinsulation is recommended.

ConcreteCables can be laid and spaced using the ECO-FIX ECO-FIX HD fixingband. The heating cable should be installed between twolayers of concrete. Install the cable over the bottom layerusing the ECO-FIXECO-FIX HD strip and then pour the top layer ofconcrete. The concrete mixture must not contain sharpstones as these may damage the cable.

AsphaltTo protect the cables from the heat of the asphalt duringinstallation, the cables should first be covered with a 30mmminimum layer of fine sand or a layer of concrete. Theasphalt should be allowed to cool to 120 – 140oC beforeit is laid. It is not recommended that heavy duty rollers orlaying machines are used in the laying of the asphalt dueto the risk of damaging the cables.

Concrete PaviorsCare should be taken when installing under concretepaviors. To be effective the cables have to be installedclose to the concrete pavior, typically in a 30mm layer of

ECOMAX-DUO is a dual board overlay systemsuitable for use over ECOFILMSET underfloorheating. It is a dry lay system that creates a freefloating sub-floor that is extremely stable and isinstantly ready to receive the finished floorcovering.

ECOMAX-DUO provides a smooth stable layingsurface onto which most finished floor coveringscan be fixed. This enables ECOFILMSET elements tobe used as the underfloor heat source for a varietyof floor coverings such as carpet, linoleum andluxury vinyl.

Installation of ECOMAX-DUO is quick, clean andsimple. The system consists of a baseboard anda top board, each with a layer of contactadhesive.

The combination of ECOFILMSET and ECOMAX-DUO provides a labour saving, cost effectivemethod for heating linoleum, vinyl and carpet.

underfloor heating elements. ECOMAX-LITE is availablein 6mm thick sheets and is manufactured from recycledmaterial free from ozone depleting chemicals.

Produced from a closed cell construction foamedpolystyrene it has excellent thermal insulationproperties. It MUST be used below ALL ECOFILMSET

heating systems.

ECOFILM Ceiling Heating uses low temperature electricheating film installed in the ceiling to provide a natural,comfortable indoor heating warmth at low cost. It is ratedat 200Watts/m2. ECOFILM Ceiling Heating, unlike othersystems which heat and circulate air, functions in the sameway as the sun. The ceiling film radiates heat downwards.

ECOFILM Ceiling Heating is suitable for both new build andrenovation projects. It provides an ideal heat source indomestic applications in small rooms (i.e attic conversions)as well as whole house heating. Flexel radiant ceiling mounted cassettes providegentle natural warmth. This radiant warmth iscost effective & efficient comfort as eitherprimary or complementary heating in localisedor hard to heat areas.

The cassettes offer improved thermal comfortconditions in the home, office or industrialenvironments. They can also be used in largervivariums, zoos, aviaries, catteries, stables,piggeries & farm buildings.

The range includes medium output cassettes(250-600W) for overhead mounting to amaximum height of 4.0 metres and a 700Wcassette for hazardous areas (IP Ex e II T3)

They are suitable for surface mounting,suspension by chains or laying into a suspendedceiling grid in new or existing buildings.

The panels are maintenance free, easy to cleanwith a white textured paint finish and are fullyguaranteed for 12 months. For added safetythey come complete with a built in thermal cut-out and can be easily controlled using the Flexelrange of electronic air sensing thermostats.
