AN EXCITING CAREER IN CREATIVE INDUSTRIES  London, 1962.  When I finished school I had no

clear plan for the decades I was to spend in the

work process. But I was sure of one thing:

if am going to spend 40 years or

more earning a living, my work

should be exciting and varied.

I had always spent a lot of spare time drawing and

painting. So I applied for a place on a Foundation

Course at a leading british art college.

It was the best decision I ever made. After just

two semesters I had acquired decisive skills which

have helped me to deal with all the challenges of

my 42 years as a designer and educationalist.

Having then studied fine arts and graphics, I was able to further

develop my skills in any  direction I chose.

I enjoyed every minute of my “active” working years, during the

last half of which I moved more and more into design education.

Now retired, I have launched this ambitious project in Vienna,

which is conceived as a“kick-start”foryoungpeoplelikeyou…

WHERE DO YOU WANT TO BEIN FIVE YEARS?  You may be a member of the international community

in Austria — or a young Austrian with a good command of

English. You are talented in arts, imaginative and open to

new ideas. Your target could be anywhere from graphics

and illustration to fashion, interior or textile design. Your

dream may be to become a product designer or photogra-

pher. Your future could lie in fine arts or media.    Or you are seeking your own slot in a creative career,

without yet knowing which discipline suits you best.
