Font Analysis

The frst ont i used was Arial Black. I believe this ont is a very strong

and eective style o ont. It would look very eective on a aga!ine

cover as it is big bold and very eye catching. I a defnitely considering

this ont or y aga!ine asthead.

The second ont i have shown is Arial "ounded #T Bold. I think this ont

is an average ont style. It has $ositives and negatives to it. For e%a$le

the $ositives are it is bold and eye&catching however it could be seen as

too boring. This wouldn't be one o the frst choices o ont or y

aga!ine.

The third ont used was Bradley (and IT). I think this ont style is very

$oor and wouldn't work with the ty$e o aga!ine i a doing i any. It is

si$le* sall and not bold enough to attract the audience. I wouldn't

consider this ont at all when designing y cover.

The ne%t ont i tried is Bodoni #T and like the frst one i would defnitely

consider or y cover asthead. It akes a good style because it is bold*

defant and would draw it the attention o the audience. It is also a very

so$histicated style o ont to suggest aturity.

The fth ont is )entury +othic and i think it is an e%cellent ont style to

ft a $o$ aga!ine. This ont style is blog* big* eye&catching and

$roessional suggesting the $erect ont to dis$lay your asthead. I a

defnitely going to consider this ont or y asthead on y ain $o$

aga!ine.

The ,thand -thont i used /ucida )alligra$hy 0 )hiller1 aren't good

enough or a aga!ine asthead. They are both too and essy and look

un$roessional. 2either o the draws you in nor interests you in reading

Finally onts 4* 5 and 67 +ill 8ans #T )ondensed* "ockwell 0 Bauhaus -91

are all very average. They are good ont styles which will look

so$histicated and $roessional however they won't :uite draw the

audience in as there isn't uch too the boldness1. I would consider

these ty$es o onts i i was aking a :uick $lan however wouldn't or y

fnalised aga!ine.
