Introduction

For the last two decades, thepopularity of football in

Bangladesh is decreasing. The

undaunted craze that was oncepresent in Bangladesh for football

is no longer observed. This

research was conducted in order to

unveil the actual reasons behind theloss of popularity football in

Bangladesh.

Thesis

As far as I have found out,the popularity of football in

Bangladesh has mainly

decreased due to: Declining playing standard

Lack of football fields

Overwhelming success in

other sports

History

Evolution of football in Bangladesh:

1) First introduced during the British

reign in 1774

2) National stadium constructed in

Dhaka in 1955

3) First international tournament held

in 1955

4) Started first ever Bangladesh

football league in 1973

My Hypotheses

Before the actual research I hada few assumptions of my own

regarding the declining popularity

of football in Bangladesh. Theyare:

Lack of proper media exposure

Inconsistency in the functions BFF

Lack of football pitches

Survey

A survey was conductedamong 18 people to find out the

actual reasons behind the loss of

footballs popularity in Bangladesh.The results of the survey are given

in the following slides in forms of

graphs and pie charts.

To improve the currentconditions of football in
