PROVINCIAL POLICY
The Site is subject to the Provincial Policy Statement (2005 and 2014) and the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden
Horseshoe (2006). These statutory documents direct and support growth to the built-up area, especially in areas
with existing municipal infrastructure, and to those locations in proximity to existing and planned transit. Pursuant to
the Growth Plan, the Site is within an Intensification Area as it is located in a Major Transit Station Area (i.e. within
500 meters of a planned higher order transit station), and should therefore be a focus for intensification.
GOLDEN MILE SECONDARY PLAN STUDY
The Property falls within The Golden Mile Secondary Plan Study area. The Golden Mile Secondary
Plan Study will develop a vision and comprehensive planning framework for the Golden Mile area. The
Golden Mile Secondary Plan Study is intended to be a two year study that will be beginning later this
year with an intended completion date in the third quarter of 2018.
