Admission requirements:

Grade 12 with an AP-score of at least 34Cumulative AP-score of at least 17 for Mathematics, Physical Sciences and Life SciencesSubject to selection (only 80 students per year)

Postgraduate:

Forensic Genetics; Forensic Chemistry; Forensic Entomology; Forensic Sciences or even pure Chemistry or Genetics

Course content:

First year: Biology, Chemistry, Physics & MathematicsSecond year: Forensic Sciences, Chemistry & GeneticsThird year: Forensic Sciences and either Genetics or Chemistry

1. Apply for a BSc degree in Forensic Sciences at the University of the Free State!

3. Apply for a position with the police forensic laboratories, or specialize in a specific forensic discipline (postgraduate studies) before starting your career.

2. If you are accepted, complete your degree with an average of 60% and you are almost assured of a future in Forensic Sciences!

Kursusinhoud:

1. Doen aansoek vir ʼn B.Sc. graad in Forensiese Wetenskappe by die Universiteit van die Vrystaat!

3. Doen aansoek vir ʼn pos in die polisie se forensiese laboratorium of spesialiseer in ʼn bepaalde forensiese rigting (nagraadse studie) voordat jy vir die pos aansoek doen.

2. Indien jy aanvaar word, voltooi die graad met ʼn gemiddeld van 60% en jy is bykans verseker van ʼn toekoms in Forensiese Wetenskappe! Laai die aansoekvorm tot die UV (DV1) en die aansoekvorm

tot keuring vir Forensiese Wetenskap van die UV se webblad* af, voltooi dit en stuur dit terug voor 30 September.
