DJ Arsonist aka The Dominican Rudeboi born July 17, 1987 in Lawrence, MA . From house parties
to major clubs, he's not to be taken lightly . Where did it all start? His father, also being a DJ in his era, drove him to begin studying the art of music . Jamming to the radio and listening to his fathers old records inspired his love for music . Being one of the youngest at his time to start, he's opened up for some major artists in the reggae game, the hip-hop game, as well as the reggaeton game . Growing up listening to his cousin Danny S, Lazy K, Kid Kapri and many more, he began to evolve in his own sense of style . 2009 marks his 10th year in the DJ world and more to come . Standing at age 22, he's done major clubs in Orlando (Element, Destiny, Envy, Lux, JJ Whispers just to name of few) and recently expanded to Miami, at club 90 Degrees . Currently part of LMP (LoMaximoProductions) and The Orlando Mixtape Kingz . His talents have no limits and his creativity has no boundaries making him one of the most versatile DJs around . He can rock to any crowd, any genre and anytime . Location: Orlando/Miami FlWeapon of Choice: Pioneer CDJ/Technic 1200 TurntableNationality: DominicanCurrent Clubs: MON - Cocos

FLYERPROMONOW presents
Orlando’s night life is surely on the rise. Our desire to “party, party, party, let’s all get wasted” has created monsters amongst us.
We all want to party 'till the sun comes up, like we’re in South Beach or Las Vegas! Big difference? Liquor stops pouring here at 2:30am! So how can we live it up in the nightlife restrained with such horrible restrictions as early last calls? This week, I found a way to keep the party going until the wee hours of the morning! Sometimes you gotta get a little creative, other times you must keep your ears open for the after parties! So, how can you keep your party rockin' 'till the sun comes up? Pay close attention, and keep your party going all night long!
Secret Society @ Your HouseThere is no better after party than one held at a
residency. This option gives you free range to party like you want to. Be sure to only invite those you can trust around your home, that's “secret society." One hitch: make sure your friends are really up to it, with the energy to make it happen. Nothing’s worst that telling everyone you are having an after party, then once everyone arrives, half the party is dead tired or too wasted! Not a good look! Be sure to encourage your friends to bring their own supplies to contribute to the after party. This way the responsibility is shared on everyone, and they know to not come empty handed. Hosting an after party at your house is not only a safer way to continue to the party all night long, it can also be “cheaper” on the pockets! Convince some chick to cook breakfast for the party, combine all liquors together to make one “death” concoction, and turn the iPod to shuffle and watch the party really get all the way live! I’d mention last week's after party that I attended, but then I may not only discredit some folks, but possibly embarrass them. LOL. Hey, it happens! It was an after party for Heaven’s Sake!
K.o.H.A. & oASiSThough Orlando has strict restrictions on the sale of
alcohol past a certain time, there are a couple of venues where you can down a Henny & Coke past 3am. My
two favorite, and possibly the only two I know about (LOL) are both KOHA & Oasis. These two clubs are both open until 5am both Fridays & Saturdays. Each venue has it's separate “after hour scene," if I may use those words. KOHA has taken the necessary steps to redeem themselves within the after hours scene. Formally known as Heroes, this infamous spot jams all our favorite hip hop & rap in two rooms to party. In addition, they have a late night menu, so you can keep on drinking! They are trying to increase the appeal of their location by changing up the dress code (they are terming it “upscale”) and bringing in heavy hitting DJs (I am hearing a rumor the DJ D-Strong’s on the bill). I have yet to visit since the “revamp” but I hear it is the place to be after 3am on a Saturday. As for Oasis, do not even think of heading over unless you (1) love reggae (2) don’t mind dark places and (3) can appreciate this lifestyle. This venue is NOT for everyone! However, amongst the “Island” folks, this is THE place to be after any party! I truly enjoy this spot because I love seeing people really go all in for what they truly love. From the hardcore dance-offs, to ladies dressed in bizarre costumes, this after party is always a good time! It is a place you can come and groove a little more before shutting the night out.
As you can see, I love to party! I continuously keep looking for more things to do here in our city so I can expose them to you. There may be some of you that didn’t even know we could party past 3am! Then there are some that may know of some other after hours spots. Tell me about them. Have a crazy after party story that you would like to share? Promoters/Club owners…having a party that you want to tell the streets about? Or maybe you just want to invite me out so I can brag about your event. E-mail me at [email protected]. Send me flyers, pictures, whatever, and I will post them , talk about it, and/or show up! 'Till next week, LET’S CELEBRATE!

Becky BeckyI don't give a got damn who is performing, dammit girl don't show your goodies to the whole city. Plies is looking at you like "You dumb ass hoe, gone take it to the floor, for a nigga you don't know, you filthy ass hoe". You showed him your va-jay-jay??? Why? I pray to God you don't have kids, because this can't be the kind of example you set for them. He will continue to make songs degrading women like you because you allow it. Do better boo boo!
Str8 Faded! This is not a look that can be pulled off easily. In order for this to work you have to have the face and the attitude. Celebrities are
trying to pull it off, but only Amber can do it in my eyes. She is truly a bad one! You are wearing it it very well. Celeb status in my eyes. You go girl!
AWWW!Ok, so of course you're violating with the white bra. Clearly a black one or a leopard print one to match your shirt would have been a great pick. I strongly suggest all
women to take your time when leaving your
home to go out on the town. It's a shame
when some "men" look better than you do in drag. Do better boo, and
cut your bangs. Boy oh boy.

Miss O..!!: Why are there some things fraternity and sorority members cannot talk about? What is the big secret?M.Rape: The true meaning of Greek life is secrecy. This secrecy is the foundation of our brotherhood and sister-hoods. Without secrecy, there would not be a difference between organizations in the community and Greek orga-nizationsD.Parker: (Laughs) at "The Big Secret". While on the journey to join our prestigious fraternity, certain self developing lessons and historic events are taught to each member. We hold these lessons near and dear to us, and to go into too much detail would ruin the "big secret"Miss O..!!: What is rush week? What is its significance?M.Rape: We do not have a rush week.D.Parker: I can’t speak for other fraternities or sororities but the Lamba Omega chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi does not hold a Rush Week. From what I do know about Rush, it’s a week in which students express interest in different frats or sororities.Miss O..!!: What are some of the benefits in joining a fraternity? M.Rape: One of the benefits of joining a fraternity is BROTHERHOOD. In a college environment there are a lot of issues/situations that are encountered and some-times you will find yourself needing people to help you out. Another benefit is NETWORKING. In our organiza-tions you meet people that you may have not met if it was not for your fraternity. These connections can lead to job opportunities or co-owners in business ventures.D.Parker: The Benefits of joining a fraternity are the bonds you share, the brotherhood you’ll have, network-ing and the betterment of ones self.Miss O..!!: What makes an initiation into your fraternity so significant?M.Rape: The initiation into a fraternity or sorority is your entrance into the brotherhood or sisterhood. It is the sin-gle moment that brings you into a family.D.Parker: The Road to Kappa Land is long, rough, and rugged.Miss O..!!: Each chapter is required to participate in some type of community service. What was your most recent event?M.Rape: The most recent event we have had is called “Project G.I.V.E.”. It is an annual event in which we feed the homeless at the “Coalition for the Homeless” in Downtown Orlando. We also provide personal hygiene items and we end the community service with a step.D.Parker: We mentor youth around Orlando weekly in our “Guide Right” Program also entitled “Kappa League.”Miss O..!!: Is there a grade point average (GPA) requirement?

M.Rape & D.Parker: Yes. Our Grade Point Average requirement is 2.5.Miss O..!!: What are some of the negative things that people assume about fraternities that are not true? M.Rape: One of the negative things that people believe about our organization is hazing. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is a non-hazing organization. Another negative thing people think about our fraternity is that we pay for friendship. In all actuality what we pay for is to become apart of a system that can help us achieve goals that we may not have achieved on our own. D.Parker: (laughing) Some of the negative stereotypes that circle around Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. are that we are dogs, hoes, shone, overly promiscuous (you name it, we're called it). (laughing) Also we are said to be at times conceited and full of ourselves. We just like to call it being confident. Miss O..!!: What would you say is the best experience you have had by being in your fraternity?M.Rape: I believe the best experiences I have had are networking with others and the brotherhood I have encountered. I am currently a business major and there have been a few job opportunities because of my involve-ment with my fraternity. I’ve also never had to purchase a hotel room when traveling out of town. D.Parker: The best experience would probably be just embracing the brotherhood. The bond is so tight. I have always been welcomed anywhere that I’ve traveled to, had a place to stay, food to eat, and something to get into at night. I love the bond! Miss O..!!: Does being a member of a Greek-letter orga-nization have benefits after graduation?M.Rape: Graduating members of our organizations eventually move into the graduate chapter of each orga-nization. In most cities around the nation there is a local graduate chapter for fellow members to become active. These chapters do the same work as the undergraduate chaptersD.Parker: The benefits remain the same throughout and after college. When pledging Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. you are making a life long commitment making you a fraternal brother for life.Miss O..!!: Are there any last words you want our readers to know regarding your chapter?M.Rape: I am from the Iota Rho Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. (2009 International Conclave Champions). My chapter prides itself on our motto "Culture for Service, Service for Humanity." Our goal is to impact the community while pursuing our goals to become successful members of our society.D.Parker: Notable brothers from the UCF Lambda Omega Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi who are a part of Orlando's Entertainment Industry include...

How are you Lady T?Hey! What's poppin?? I'm good thanks for asking!
How long have you been apart of the Power 95.3 Team?I've been with Power for about 3 and a half years now .
How did you come about working in the radio industry?Well, I've been working in entertainment basically my whole life . There was a lot of dance competi-tions, pageants and stuff like that growing up . Also my Mom always loved music too and my uncle and Cousin are both DJs . So once it was time to choose a major in college it was easy for me to pick Communications: Radio/TV/Broadcasting—it fit everything I've been trying to do . So the first thing I did at college was become an On-Air Personality and the Hip-Hop Music Director for the LIu College Radio Station . It just took off from there . I then took on some internships like WBLS-107 .5FM in NYC and worked with major personalities like Egypt and Wendy Williams . After I graduated, I was hired at HOT97 and worked there for about 3 years in many different departments and stations such as 98 .7 Kiss FM . That really helped me to get a full understanding of all aspects of the radio industry, and also to work with and learn from some of the #1 radio personali-ties and DJs in the country .
While all of that was going on, I was still hustling doing street promo for record labels such as Def Jam and Warner Bros . I also had an independent radio show and my own TV show interviewing artists air-ing in all boroughs on Public Television . Eventually, Vanessa Roman and Jill Strada invited me to Orlando
to join the Power95 .3 family! It's been a long journey and I am so thankful for it!
How have you been embraced by the community? The community in Orlando and the surrounding areas have been so welcoming to me and I am grate-ful for that . I try to volunteer and help the community and our schools in any way I can . I am actually start-ing a women's group for health and wellness with Changes Spa of Orlando . . .working together to get the women in our community healthy and feeling good!
How do you feel about the Kanye situation at the awards?Ahhhh man! Well I just wanna say that BEYONCE HAD ONE OF THE TOP VIDEOS OF ALL TIME!! (laughing) Listen it was totally and absolutely wrong . I'm glad they kicked him out the awards for that . We all know Beyonce is the best but he shouldn't have taken that little girls moment away . To keep it real, MTV has everything organized to fit their show . . .Taylor per-formed after she won . Beyonce won VIDEO OF THE YEAR and performed after that . . .Kanye is wild! But it was one of the funniest moments in a while . . .I literally couldn't stop laughing and still can't!
How did you feel about President Obama com-ments on stating Kanye West was a jacka**?To be honest, I didn't and don't think it was right to put that information out there . I mean, my media background teaches me that when something is "off-the-record" you do not make that public . It was extremely unethical . On the other hand it makes President Obama even more of a "real person ." We were all thinking that anyways! (laughing)

I f you ever found yourself, in a deep thought sprawled in the back of your most fondest imagination in regards to
the ongoing battle of hip-hop music, R&B, Reggae and other genres of music, and why one specific sound and art form of music is more popular or appealing to the masses than the other; then ponder no more this distinction is found in reggae newcomer ATIBA.
The phenomenon of reggae singers bell-ing out such blunt, "in your face lyrics" over a sultry beat has been intimidating to the hip hop world for years, and with innova-tive, ground breaking artist such as ATIBA branding the new face of music, dance-hall reggae is destined to be stronger than ever.
Sl ip -N- Sl ide Records recording artist ATIBA is truly the new sound of "Dancehall" with a fusion of hip-hop, reggae, R&B/soul mix, breathing fresh air back into the reggae music scene. Born in Brooklyn, NY, and relocated with family to Jamaica at the age of 5, the young singer states that his father was extremely musicaly inclined and has vivid memories of music as an art form always being present in his child-hood. ATIBA came back to the states at the age of 15, with a passion for music and firm background on what it takes to create that "star power essence, ATIBA and his family forged ahead made Orlando their home in search of a more constant and promising future in the music industry.
"My Father tried his hands in all sorts of occupations to support the family. One of his greatest was creating a sound system called, "Love Vibration Disco," headed by DJ Rudolf; it quickly became one of the top sound systems in Jamaica. He cut the first songs that Beenie Man had ever recorded
and introduced him to the industry. Music was always around. Some of the greatest artists to come out of Jamaica were at my house on a constant basis."
ATIBA was involved in reggae dancehall music from a very young age. "I sang in a four part harmony group called 'Fate' and then started a group with my sister, Malica, and friend Francisco, it was called, 'Three The Hard Way.' A year after that I was signed to super producer Rodney Jerkins record label, Darkchild Records."
ATIBA quickly became a hot commodity among others in the industry and is noted
for his works with R&B sen-sation Ray J on hit single entitled "If I Had One Wish". The inventive singer has also been featured in nation-wide publications including Ozone Magazine, and has performed on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, along-side Patti Labelle, Mary Mary, George Clinton, Be Be Winans and more.
ATIBA is hardly an unknown musical figure and
is taking on new musical projects and mark-ing new territory with plans to continue to leave his everlasting score in the foot-prints of great reggae musicians before him. Drawing inspiration from legendary singers such as, Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley, Sam Cooke and more, ATIBA is destined for quick suc-cess in the industry.
When asked about future plans ATIBA, meekly smiles and states that he plans to "make classic music, and push the culture forward."
ATIBA's upcoming album is definitely guaranteed to be classic, savored and cherished by all music fans.

We are one week in on the road to Miami for the Superbowl. As much as I would like to speak on the first week of the 2009
NFL regular season games I am going to refrain. Besides, I need a little more time to predict who I think will be heading there. There is plenty of time left for me to cover the best and worst of each week. I will say that I hope the quarterbacks from the los-ing teams build their teammates up instead of tear-ing them down. It makes for a better team dynamic.
In addition to posi-tive reinforcement, players should stop walking out on practices, Osi Umenyiora, and stop get-ting arrested, Shawne Merriman. Although some may disagree with me, those things serve as distrac-tions. As cliché as
it may sound, there is no “I” in “Team” and some-times one individual's decisions and subsequent consequences can be detrimental to the team.
I wasn’t in attendance when Tila Tequila called the law on Merriman, so I don’t know what hap-pened, nor should I choose sides, but I will give my opinion. I don’t by any means condone a man putting his hands on a woman. However, I also don’t agree with a woman “crying wolf” and calling the cops, or provoking a man to hit her so she can call the cops. There are three sides to every story, hers, his, and the truth. Whether or not Merriman is telling the truth, he, as well as other players, needs to remember that as a professional athlete, you are scrutinized by the public and can’t get caught doing certain things. If you have a bad reputation, teams won’t be checking for you like that when the contract runs out. Unless they have something to fall back
on after football, my suggestion is not to let anything interfere with their money. After all only 25% of NFL head coaches are former players so their odds at that position is not looking too good.
30 Second TimeouTIts old news but I had to get him. Michael
Beasley, or as he would like to be called, Super Beas, checked himself into rehab. It’s probably just a coincidence, but this happened a few days after a picture of him showing off his tattoo with a bag of weed in the background sur-faced on Twitter. I’m sure it was an honest mistake but like I just said, when you’re a professional athlete, you can’t make the same mistakes others do. This wasn’t a super move Beas, it was a stupid one. Ok, maybe I was a little harsh. Honest but harsh. I don’t want to be mean because I heard he is battling depression too. Hope he gets better.
in The huddleCongratulations to Michael Jordon and his Hall
of Fame Induction. Did you know that Venus and Serena Williams now own a piece of the Miami Dolphins? Now you do!
Ladies: For those of you who don’t like sports, but your man does, here are a few tips. Invite him over to watch the game and get some drinks and food (emphasis on the drinks.) You should root for opposite teams to make it fun. After the game dress up like a naughty cheerleader and get in the three-point stance (if your unfamiliar...Google it.) After that, you should both be winners. (Wink!) My point is find a way to make watching sports fun for both of you.
