Lesson 6: Understanding Perspectives

Today you will learn more about empathy. Grab two objects that are identical. Face back to back with a partner. Each of you draw the item from your perspective. Compare drawings and see if they are the same or different. Things can look or feel different from different perspectives. Thinking about how others see a situation helps you have empathy for them. Show the Empathy poster. Empathy is feeling or understanding what someone else is feeling. Noticing other people’s feelings and thinking about their perspective will help you have empathy.
