With this quest innovation has become a key focus of the
Flagship.
We continue to move from materials research towards
component development and system-level integration.
Our focus is in combining technology push and market pull by
working with industry stakeholders to increase technology
readiness levels.

Promise Market
Graphene superlative
Disruptive technologies evolution
Technology is slowly maturing, and a shift towards higher TRL is evident in the composition and focus of the Graphene Flagship: more industrial partners, system level integration, more emphasis towards innovation!

Industrialisation......
• Introducing innovation to the market
•Customers (and in particular industry) are not interested in Graphene or other 2D-materials (GRM)
•They are looking for solutions
GRM must provide solutions at a competitive price
Bridging the gapbetween invention and solution needs of the market

Business developers
Business Developers (BDs) working closely with partners and work
package leaders to identify innovation opportunities and to coach
those people trying to realise them in commercial form
Drive business development for the GF, mapping relevant markets,
and identifying recipients for GF research output and possible new
partners/clients/customers.
Each BD will take responsibility for one thematic area, and map out
developments and needs in this area, key actors, and possible
opportunities for innovation. Close cooperation with roadmap activities.
A special focus on engaging small and medium-sized enterprises
(SMEs) in graphene and graphene related technologies.
