Macedonia was home to Alexander the Great. It is also famous
for many other things. The present-day region of Macedonia
is the place where three of the world’s most important crops
were successfully cultivated: tobacco, poppies and cotton.
The latter crop’s chemical and physical properties make it
a unique natural raw material that is very well tolerated by
the human body and ideal for the production of clothing. So
there is a centuries-old link between Macedonia and cotton.
Textile production is a traditional industry in this region. And
EAM is a traditional textile production company.
E A M – A T E X T I L E S U C C E S S S T O R Y.
Our company, EAM, has been in the hands of the Patrikliski
family for generations. It was founded in 1991 in Shtip, just
one month before Macedonia declared its independence
from the former Yugoslav Federation.
We have always been experts with needle and thread at EAM.
But it was actually our digital expertise that initially helped
us to grow so quickly into a successful business. We started
out as a design studio creating innovative computer-based
graphic designs for our clients. This first business division
gave us a market monopoly. We used screen-printing to
finish a wide range of textile products to a very high level of
quality. Very soon our customer base included major textile
companies, both in Macedonia and abroad.
O N E - S T O P S E R V I C E .
Soon afterwards we began manufacturing textiles so that
we could expand our portfolio of services for customers.
We took a flexible and professional approach to developing
this line of business and before long we had conquered the
Macedonian market. As we expanded into other markets we
continuously adapted our quality level to bring it into line
with all European standards.
To guarantee the quality of our materials in the long-term
we decided to produce, dye, manufacture and finish the
products ourselves. We acquired the necessary factory
premises and the machine park in 2005. In 2007 we started
our own knitting, dyeing, manufacturing and finishing
operations.
A V I S I O N B E C O M E S R E A L I T Y .
Things really took off when we were able to introduce a
one-stop service from yarn to finishing. We made consistent
investments in new technologies and ensured that our
personnel received regular training. We also worked towards
achieving our vision of covering the entire process chain, from
raw material to finished product. In 2011 we purchased 55
hectares of farmland and an entire agricultural machine park
for the cultivation and production of cotton. In 2012 we opened
another branch in Croatia that shares our corporate identity.
W E ’ R E S H A P I N G T H E F U T U R E .
In the future we hope to continue expanding our business.
To create the basis for that growth we commenced
construction of a 22,000 m2 facility very close to the existing
factory that meets the requirements for the use of new
production equipment in 2019. The third generation of our
family is now completely integrated into the organisation.
For some years now both sons have been contributing to
maintaining production operations and ensuring that the
technology at our innovative company reflects the state of
the art. We’ve already taken our first steps in the world of
digital textile printing. New IT technologies and software
platforms ensure that our creations are available around
the globe and can be developed from anywhere in the world.
W E R E S P E C T T H E E N V I R O N M E N T.
In all of our business activities we are committed to the
well-being of our planet. For example, we place great value
on the use of sustainable or recycled raw materials. We
also take an environmentally friendly approach to energy
generation. The 300 kW photovoltaic system that is being
installed on the roof of our new production facility will soon
be generating enough solar power to cover 80% of our
energy requirements.

SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION PROCESS
As already mentioned, we cover the entire production process, from
yarn to finishing. We manufacture the necessary woven and knitted
fabrics on our own circular knitting machines, which are part of our
own large machine park.
D Y E I N G A N D L A B O R A T O R Y
After the production of the fabrics we dye all of them our-
selves on either Pantone or RAL basis according to the
customer’s specifications. We purchase all of our dyes in
Europe. During the dyeing process we carefully monitor the
consistent conservation of the natural resource of water. We
obtain heat from our waste water, which is reintroduced into
the fresh water supply for recirculation in an eco-friendly
loop.

We are also making continuous advancements in the field of
cutting. Our aim is optimum material utilisation and we are
continuously perfecting our cutting processes on state-of-
the-art cutting machines.
We currently have 350 skilled seamsters and seamstresses
making up the garments on our premises. They regularly
attend training courses and workshops to ensure that they
are always capable of meeting our customers’ requirements.
Our sewing machines conform to the very latest technical
standards. We guarantee maximum energy efficiency through
regular technical upgrades. For example, we recently
replaced all the sewing drive systems with more economical
models to reduce our energy consumption.
