A three-week adventure through the Korean Language,

The fast way to improve your Korean

/ This three-week intensive program is highly

recommended for adults who want to learn the Korean

language and make maximum progress in a short period.

The intensive program includes 60 hours of class time in

total and provides students with opportunities to learn

contemporary Korean. Students will be able to learn

Korean language for academic or professional reasons.

They will discover an improvement in their Korean

language skills in a short period of time.

/ The Language Education Institute [LEI] of Seoul

National University has a long history of carrying out

prestigious Korean language and culture programs. The

institute has a reputation for managing intensive and

widely-recognized programs such as the Malaysian

Students Program, the Korean Language and Culture

Program for Diplomats, the Keio University Students

Program, and others.

/ The course focuses on developing the conversational skills

of students through student-oriented projects. The three-week

intensive program is scheduled from August 1 to August 19, and

students meet Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The class is divided according to students’ result of level test. Each

class consists of about 12 students.

01 Korean Language ClassKorean language classes are offered based on students'

proficiency levels, and feature skills-based and textbook-centered

lessons. Our highly effective approach to Korean as a living

language will have students speaking, listening, reading and

writing with confidence by using the textbook, Active Korean, Vol 1-4.

02 One-on-one Buddy Program

Each student will have a buddy, a student of Seoul National

University, who will assist the learner with his/her language study

and the various aspects of campus life during the program.

03 Credit Transfer (3 units)

Credits may be transferred to several universities outside of Korea.

Students need to verify in advance with their respective schools

whether credits can be transferred from LEI-SNU to their

university. A complete Korean language course is equivalent to 3-

credits of a regular academic program. Upon request and payment

of postage, LEI-SNU will issue an official transcript to the

organization designated by the student.

- Both certificate of graduation and academic transcript from the

most recent school attended

- A statement of purpose (in Korean or English)

- A copy of current passport (information page with a photo)

- Application fee: KRW 50,000 (non-refundable)

The original copy of required documents should be scanned and
