During the convention we will be asking for annual reports and if you are a chairman I would appreciate it very much that you start gathering the information for your report so that we will be able to move along smoothly during the convention.

Installations of officers are under way and I have been attending many installations. Congratulations to all the elected officers. We wish all much success in keeping your Unit viable into the future. I am so pleased that the Auxiliary has had some interest in signing up for the VAVS program. As they contact Rozena McVey or myself, we will continue to make sure that the VAVS program thrive once again.

Those Branches and Units hosting the annual regional conventions please send information to Units and Branches in a timely manner so that your convention will be well attended. I was informed that some Units do not understand the “Warrior to Soulmate” project and I would like everyone to understand I am not working with “Pairs” who have lead the way for the Chaplains to institute their programs in the VA’s. The Chaplains are striving to empower families and reunite them through counseling and retreats to bond and connect so that they will be able to move forward in their marriage and stabilize the family.

Our condolences to our members in the loss of their loved ones, may you fine peace. If you or a family member has been ill or lost a loved one, please accept our best wishes and condolences. Celebrating a Birthday – Happy Birthday! Wedding Anniversary – Congratulations! To All “Best Wishes” for continued good health.

I remain in,

Loyalty, Protection, and Service, Helen A Courneya, National President

ABOUT OUR MEMBERS

Just to let everyone know, Teresa Norton RPNC has had an accident and had surgery on her right leg and foot. They told her, that her leg will be placed in a hard cast in about 2 weeks, after the swelling goes down. She is in good spirits, and she is feeling okay. Teresa has a good support system and close friends, and they will be with her every step of the way. Chris Drew RVPNC is in touch with the Units and is making preparations in case she has to step into Teresa's shoes at the Regional Convention in August. If anyone needs to contact Chris, her number is 763-561-2017 and her email is [email protected]. Here is wishing each of you a wonderful year and much success. Thanks, Doris Fri
