From the Pastor : Written on Monday, April 6 th …. What a great week, starting with Palm Sunday and ending with Easter Sunday. Lots of activities throughout the church which made me proud to be your pastor. The presentation of the Living Last Supper was amazing. This was the first time I’ve ever seen this live. My hat goes off to all that took part, from the actors and singers to all the people behind the scene. During the play, each apostle questioned whether they would be the one that would betray Jesus. They all knew that they were susceptible to this by being merely human. They all knew they could be the one to fail. And as the story goes… this got me thinking…. A few years ago, I was talking to someone about Celebrate Recovery. This is a Christian based ministry where addicts of any kind, from eating to drugs, can go and be supported to stay off the addiction. This person told me that the first step to recovery though is recognition. Until you can recognize that you are an addict, you cannot recover. This is the same with the apostles at the last supper. I feel that maybe Jesus did it this way so each and every apostle will first recognize that they are sinners too. Just like you and me. We need to recognize that we are sinners daily. We need Jesus, but we could never be any better than the next person because we fail just as much. Sure it may be different, but we still sin. My prayer is we recognize daily our sins. We ask for forgiveness for those sins, so we too can begin recovery. And don’t forget…. JESUS IS ALIVE!!! Love You All In Christ, Bro. From the Pastor:

Written on Monday, April 6th

….

What a great week, starting with Palm Sunday and ending with

Easter Sunday. Lots of activities throughout the church which made me

proud to be your pastor. The presentation of the Living Last Supper was

amazing. This was the first time I’ve ever seen this live. My hat goes off

to all that took part, from the actors and singers to all the people behind

the scene.

During the play, each apostle questioned whether they would be

the one that would betray Jesus. They all knew that they were susceptible

to this by being merely human. They all knew they could be the one to

fail. And as the story goes… this got me thinking….

A few years ago, I was talking to someone about Celebrate

Recovery. This is a Christian based ministry where addicts of any kind,

from eating to drugs, can go and be supported to stay off the addiction.

This person told me that the first step to recovery though is recognition.

Until you can recognize that you are an addict, you cannot recover.

This is the same with the apostles at the last supper. I feel that maybe

Jesus did it this way so each and every apostle will first recognize that

they are sinners too. Just like you and me. We need to recognize that we

are sinners daily. We need Jesus, but we could never be any better than the

next person because we fail just as much. Sure it may be different, but we

still sin.

My prayer is we recognize daily our sins. We ask for forgiveness

for those sins, so we too can begin recovery. And don’t forget…. JESUS

IS ALIVE!!!
