FROM YOUR PASTOR
( )
Dear Friends, On this First Sunday of Advent we celebrate the Rite of Acceptance at the 9:00 Mass for our candidates and catechumens who are becoming Catholics this year here at Holy Family. We congratulate them and their spouses. From this Sunday onward, this group will be at-tending the 9:00 Mass each Sunday. After the Universal Prayer (the General Intercessions) our catechumens and candidates will be dismissed from Mass. With an RCIA team member, they proceed to the Fr. Conley Chapel for a discussion of the Scripture readings. These dis-missals will take place until Easter when they are fully initiated into the Church. Please prayer for our RCIA participants on their journey. Earlier this month (November 6) a seminarian spoke at all the Sunday Masses. Msgr. Rhodes and I were happy to introduce Connor Hetzel to Holy Family. We received many fa-vorable comments from you about Connor’s presentation on Vocation Awareness Sunday. If you would like to contact him by letter or a card, please do so at this address:
Mr. Connor Hetzel St. Mary Seminary
28700 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, OH 44092-2582 or [email protected]
Let’s assure this young man (22 years old) of our prayers and support on his journey to the priesthood.
