RESEARCH


The Stuttgart Main Train Station is the most famous work of the german architect Paul Bonatz not only for the architectural quali-ty and modernity of the building but also for his role in the city.The thesis focused in the first part on the comprehension of the building through archivi-stic and bibliographical resear-ch, metrical relief and redrawing of the first construction.The city itself has been analy-zed in all its contexts (natual, in-frastructural, historical, regional etc.) and the relationship betwe-en the Station and the urban context has been highlighted.The study of the city and the building led to the second pha-se which consist in the project.
