EBS Banking requirements for branch offices.

NEED: To use the existing offices and high cost space in amore versatile way.

We discussed the requirements with the FTT team and in-cluded a number of our facility and branch management inextensive demonstrations and feedback.

We based this exercise in one of our branch office bankswhere the availability of offices was always availability. Thetypical office use was either administration or meetings.Having reviewed the FTT product and space saving advan-tage we installed two desks in each office in place of a tra-ditional large desk. We now have a facility where thecomputers, cables, keyboards/mouse are not on the desktop and give a completely free and available workspace.When the room is needed for a client meeting the adminis-trative staff make the room available for the branch bankingconsultants. The advantage is dual purpose use, saving ofspace and a remarkable privacy of details on the computerwhen meeting clients.

The other area is our meeting room. We use this for train-ing, computer update training, meetings, presentations andit was always a time intensive exercise to shift the IT equip-ment, tidy cables, rearrange furniture, chairs and presenta-tion equipment. We now use the FTT Solution in a number of larger deskswhich are placed back to back and the computer equipmentis not obstructing the use of the worktop. The extra space isa real advantage, clear view during meetings and the ac-commodation of extra people is invaluable. It is now sopopular and easy to use that the administrative and man-agement teams use the computers when ever they areavailable. The saving of time, maintenance, a varied num-ber of support people and the multi use of the facility haspaid dividends. We see the advantages we will have in pri-vacy and security when we retrofit the FTT Solution at thecustomer counters.

College of Computer Training

“We had a requirement to fit out a new building and wantedto make a statement to reflect our market profile.

The facility is used by high profile customers in Banking,Insurance and Government. The large room needed to befitted out with a U shaped layout to give a feeling of spaceand it is complemented by a high ceiling and largewindows. We asked FTT to give us some input based ontheir vast experience and have a facility which is state ofthe art. Our clients have enjoyed the experience and havegiven us the best references we could have hoped for. Theclear space for documents, privacy for each participantwhen using the computer, complete lack of cabling orperipherals is fantastic. We also benefit from reducedmaintenance and look forward to implementing the FTTSolution in other training facilities as they come on line.”

We have used the FTT Solution to retrofit into existing podi-ums providing more secure space. Usually we have a re-quirement for the computer monitor to be in the worktopand this works extremely well and also semi submerged fortouch screen control units. These requirements are easilyaccommodated by the FTT Solution and the standards con-nectivity is vital. We had a requirement in our buildings forstudent access to the internet and study. The FTT Solutionis a real advantage when it is mounted directly to the wallwith the adaptor for a touch screen or a laptop support.Now when a student wants to use a computer they place iton the support, use the facility and move on without takingup precious room or causing obstruction. It is important tonote that this is also used in our smaller rooms and has theability to adjust to a higher or lower position for wheelchairaccess. We have now specified the FTT Solution for ournew build multi function classrooms.

CASE STUDY: SANDFORD PARK SECONDARYSCHOOL

CHALLENGE: TO TURN EXISTING TRADITIONAL ITCOMPUTER CLASSROOM INTO MODERN FACILITY

A number of layouts were drawn up and input was given bythe teaching staff who have a broad experience in differentschools. Presentations and quotations were sought and ashort list was prepared with the intention to visit sites. Dur-ing this exercise we were made aware of the Puma Solu-tion from FTT. A demonstration was arranged and layoutdrawing and outline costing was provided. It emerged thatwe could fulfill a number of requirements by choosing theFTT Solution, namely:

A completely modern IT classroom facility Clear view of teacher and pupil Unobstructed view of the presentation screen Privacy for study and examinations/tests Health and Safety ISO compliance and cable management Reduced wear and tear of equipment Multi-function use of the room and desking-avail ability for other classes As the most modern future proofed facility we pre sented to new parents We also installed a number of desks at the back of the room for students who wanted to access the internet during classes

Following the success of this facility we looked at using theFTT Solution in other areas: The first of these was in thelaboratories where we retrofitted the Computer equipmentinto the existing lab. Tops. Secondly we installed the FTTteacher desk with a matching lockable cabinet in eachclassroom. This provides a clear view of teacher/studentand ensures that course material and Computer equipmentis out of the way and secure.

Our decision has proven to be a very popular one and wefeel that the application of standards by FTT has futureproofed our investment. We are proud to host visits and in-troductions to the facilities which are the most modernavailable.

Regional Development Board

We had a situation when we built a complete new facilityand went to tender for a complete solution provider. Weneeded computers, networks, cabling, video conferencing,projection systems and mobile facilities for the technology.After extensive research we short listed a number of poten-tial suppliers. FTT were able to provide us with a high pro-file number of clients where the services and equipmentwere provided.

Our decision was based on future proofing and knowledgewith the ability to comply with the standards. We commis-sioned FTT to complete the project. It was completed withinbudget, on time and in a professional manner.

We installed the FTT desking with the IT equipment insideand with a mobile facility. This gives us an advantage whenwe have break out groups, video conferencing and versatilelayouts from board room table to rows. We also installedthe FTT Solution in a number of traditional desks which wewanted to move and use from our previous offices. Thecomfort and privacy which they provide is invaluable andhas a super effect with clients. As a leading service providerand support group we needed to be at the forefront of tech-nology, standards and cost effective use of our facility. Wewould welcome visitors to try our facility and highly recom-mend the FTT Solution.
