Benefits

Benefit 1: Visualization of Resource Information in Real Time
Manually confirming dynamic cloud resources (servers, IP addresses, etc.) requires a lot of time and tasks for users Impossible to view changes accurately and in
real time such as a cancelation of resources deployed or patch application
Automatic collection of system information in a data center (=discovery) View software configuration information
accurately and in real time, including cloud resources, reducing the burden on users and eliminating human error
OS
Manage configuration on all the servers in a data center manually
Linux
patch RH-XXX
OS
Soft configuration info
Windows
patch MS-XXX
Checking configuration info on all the servers in a data center requires many tasks and a lot of time. Especially for cloud resources, dynamic changes of info make management of configuration info difficult.

Benefit 2: Patch Management under Governance
Visualization and application of OS patches After Before
A system administrator must manage OS patch application status individually using Excel, etc.
The burden of investigating OS patch application may cause it to sometimes be omitted.
Easily confirm OS types on servers, version and level, and patch information.
Visualization of servers on which patches must be applied ensures that patch application is not forgotten.
An alert for servers on which patches are not yet applied prevents patch application being forgotten.

Administrator
Because server consolidation is leading to more managed servers, keeping track of applied patches and applying patches manually can be overwhelming for administrators.

Benefit 3: Reduction of system construction time and human errors
Administrators perform installation and setup for OS/middleware on each server, according to the needs of the user departments.
The procedures for server construction are becoming more complex because of different approaches to installation and parameter setting, according to OS or middleware.
Setting software parameters automatically and confirming the results
