MEETING THE OBJECTIVE OF REDUCING OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
2020 SULPHUR CAP
Scenario 2020 – LOW SULPHUR REGULATION
It is time to make a better world, and therefore we commit to fulfil the objective of lowering our impact on the environment.
The IMO regulation Annex VI of the MARPOL specifies that the sulfur content of marine fuel reducing from 3.5% to a maximum of 0.5% starting on 1st of January 2020 on a worldwide basis and in the specific ECA (Emission Control Areas) the limit is 0.1% to minimize the emissions of sulphur oxides from ships to maintain well-being of the planet.
MARGUISA supports the new measures which will improve the ecological footprint of the shipping industry in our planet.

per specific corridor
MBAF for month “M” is set one month in advance and will be charged in addition
to basic ocean freight
