About Virtual Classroom Tours
Social Studies, math, music, language arts, technology
10- to 12-year-olds
By integrating social studies with math, music, technology, and language arts, the learner will relate geographical concepts of the United States (specifically landforms and regions) to places of interest along Interstate 40.
Microsoft Internet ExplorerMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel)Microsoft Visio, MapPoint, Publisher, Paint, Microsoft Encarta Reference 2003
Interstate 40 traverses the United States from North Carolina to California, crossing eight states and six major landforms. Students relate geographical features of this route (specifically landforms and regions) to places of cultural interest. In doing so they integrate social studies with math, music, technology, and language arts.
