FUNGI CHARACTERISTICS

•  Can be unicellular (yeast) or multicellular (mushrooms).

•  Can’t move about. •  Heterotrophs: feed on other living things – break

down dead matter. •  Some fungi produce mushrooms: --- visible part of the fungus --- reproduce. --- parts: cap, gills, ring and stem.

•  They can be beneficial or harmful.

•  Can be unicellular or multicellular. •  Can be autotrophs or heterotrophs. •  Some don’t move; other have pseudopods

(amoebas) or cilia (paramecium)

•  There are 2 types:
